From the Med to the Panama Canal

thanks for the invite. I have done a 12 night cruise but that was not on Disney. I am so excited to be going. who knows at this rate I might get enough posts so I can actually send messages... lol. It's not easy being a lurker. ha ha
 
I have to ask where everyone is getting the great graphics they have on their signatures?

Also what do people put on their doors and where do they find the graphics for those as well??

Post 3319 on the other site has a lot of the doorsigns. He will add your names and other things you want. The rest of the door signs we either get from the main disboard or make ourselves.

It won't - we've been over here for a year and it's not a problem. Everyone know they are welcome, but it is slower moving over here. The chatters are not offended at all. And most of us go back and forth anyway. So don't worry. :hug:

I haven't even pulled out the suitcase, but I did scan most of the documents that DCL sent so I could use them in the scrapbook when I get back, priorities people!

This morning I've set up the bills to pay thru the month of May. We will be gone the entire month so this is taking some planning. My mom will be here at our house with our DGS18 so we won't have to worry about stopping the mail and getting someone to take care of the cat. Now, we have decided we will fly from here to CA and back so I need to set up flights and rental cars. I did a check and with the price of gas it is almost exactly the same cost to fly the two of us as to drive and pay for hotels on the way down and back. Dennis is working alot of long hours this week and next, so I think it will be better for the old guy to not have the tiring drive.

ACA - cab for four to divers should be $10 right? Are we supposed to look for white or yellow cabs? Then the restaurant should be $16 per person for lunch?

Wise choice, Angie. We have friends outside of Seattle and decided to do a driving trip up from San Diego for a visit. After gas, 2 nights in hotels, and meals - could have flown for about the same or a bit less, and that was two summers ago when gas was "outrageously expensive" at $2.50/gal! :rotfl2:

You are going to then do a one way flight from LAX to MCO? There are lots good hotel deals right around LAX, if that is where you are staying, AAA, AARP, and search online.

We do love roadtrips and drive down at least once a year. We are just really tired from working alot to save up some $$ so Dennis can be off the entire month of May. He works for an agency (Pharmacy) and does not get paid if he does not work. I am lucky to have lots of vacation with pay time.

We are staying two nights (Fri and Sat) with Dennis' sister, then 2 nights at DL and one at LAX before our very early one way from LA to MCO on Wed monring. I did Priceline and got Holiday Inn by DL and Hilton at LAX all set up. :thumbsup2 We are doing a whole month of magic....2 days at DL before flying to MCO and doing 2 days at WDW then the cruise and 3 or 4 more days at DL after. We used DVC points at GF for post cruise stay. Then we will still have a couple of days in So Cal to visit with family and friends before we fly home on the 30th. So May 2 to May 30 is vacation for us! :thumbsup2

As most of you know our original order for lanyards ran out. We've had enough people ask for additional lanyards, so we are officially ordering more lanyards and badges.

I am looking for 2 people to donate $20 or $25 whatever you can swing- please PM me if you can donate. You can pay cash or paypal. They will be regular green instead of lime green with no imprinting, but I will make a badge that matches everyone elses. This means we will have many extras if anyone loses their lanyards or ruins them in some way. I'll bring blank badges also for extras or for mis-spelled names etc.

Either, and get a set price before you get in the cab. $16 is what the restuarant told me.
