From the Med to the Panama Canal

I'm afraid I'm not having good luck with the excursions. Most of the things we wanted to do are booked. I guess I'll just have to hope that space frees up for them later on. It's particularly frustrating since one of the excursions that is now booked was one I had thought I had booked last night.

susy don't forget that the 75 day mark more excursion slots should open up! have you tried to call DCL?

We booked the ACA shopping and cliff diver (now you guys know me, of course we did the shopping - I don't shop all year just on cruises), and the city tour in PV, nothing in Cabo. I'm not so sure we will even get off the boat in Cabo. maybe the scenic tour? Jonathan wanted to do the canopy (Anna's recommendation), but it was already booked up. I think a lot will open up at the 75 day and then onboard too. I can't wait to see how many cancellations open up this week. What did everyone else get?

Hmmm Kelly and shopping???:confused3 Who know that would happen? AGAIN!!! We love you girl and you are definitely are our shopper!! I do have a couple of items I want to get in Mexico, esp if we have a mexican themed party!

Don't you just love the picture of me and flyboy! He is terrified when this picture was taking at the top of the rock in Gibraltar. His scaredness of heights was kicking in on HIGH!

Is anyone doing a banner to place on the side of the ship when we are going through the canal? Alex and I are thinking about doing one but have never done one.

We were trying for the canopy tours also. We did the one in Puerto Vallarta last time and loved it. We'll check at 75 days.

Here's what we have now:
Castaway Cay - Parasailing for Curt (I did it on the TA).
Aruba - Helmet dive (we wanted the one in Cabo but it was booked).
Acapulco - Horseback riding.
Puerto Vallarta - Mexican Cooking (we'll change for canopy if possible)
Cabo - Catamaran (we'll change for canopy or B.O.B. if possible)
Palo - dinner on day 12 (Puerto Vallarta)

Did anyone try for a group brunch this time? I sure would be interested in that.

I feel bad for you all with the time difference and I thought we had it bad here. I am glad you got your excursions.

We felt really comfortable and safe with the people that did the Disney one in PV. I'm not sure I'd be willing to go elsewhere. I guess I'm still hoping that one of Disney's will open back up.

My pilot Dad is afraid of heights, too, kinda weird since planes are up high.:upsidedow

yeah, you'd be surprised what a high percentage of us aren't too fond of heights.

i tell you what, I'ts a good thing there are no verandas on the airplane!

Too bad Mexico isn't know for it's purses... or maybe that is better, so I don't come home with a case full.

That is a good pic.

Don't know about that one, I don't think so. We should put some out our verandahs. I think we'll do that.

I am really interested in the Mex. cooking, but are you worried about getting sick at all?

I couldn't get any brunch, but would like to do a group brunch.

We'll be doing the ACA with you.

Ok, that worries me. I was confused when I didn't see Pumba

We've eaten at lots of places in Mexico with no problem. Just last week, I was in Rosarita and ate off a buffet. We did a whole week of Mexican cooking classes and they told us up front that there was no problem with the water there and there wasn't. I'm especially not worried since this is a Disney sponsered excursion.

You know what, if we both don't do the canopy, then I may go do that with you. We'll talk about it over the next month or so.

Hi everyone, I too stayed up late Sat/Sun to try to get somethings. I was finally able to book a brunch in Palo (day 11 10:30am) somewhere around 1 am and the Sub in Aruba (9:45am) shortly there after. At 2am PST, everyone got locked out when DCL did server maintenace without warning. I got back on in the morning and most of the other things I wanted were gone. I did get the ACA City tour w/divers 12:45 start and the tall ship (9:45) in cabo. Could not get the Zip Line (Canopy) in PV for the boys, so we may just walk the town as we did last time. This time both guys are over 21 so I can take in Carlos Y Pepe's or Senior Frog (have yard will travel!) I did like the shopping in PV and that was where we got our good Vanilla for $10/liter (lots of dealing on that one) As as final item, I signed up for a massage on day 8 hoping I can get the kids in the O'Lab because I feel I am going to need it by then! Was never able to get a decent Dinner time at Palo. Has anyone taken the Glass Bottom Boat at CC? If so was it any good? Ok, I am seeing double so I guess it is time for bed for me. I will have to check to find which of the dismeets will work for us. Steve
