OK, Susie, I really didn't think that you would end up coming! I'm so glad you guys did it. Are you going to park at our house and then fly out of John Wayne?

Lanyards are moving in slow motion. As you've probably figured out by the big thread that post 50 pages per day everything is done by committee, so it takes a while to get everything done. I"ve got all the research done and will kick it into high gear on 2/10.

I think we can get back to chatting/planning on this thread as well, now that were getting closer to the actual date.

Is everyone else finding this cruise takes virtually no planning time compared to last year's cruise? Last year it was like a third job.

We checked flights out of John Wayne and couldn't find anything decent, so we ended up going out of LAX at 9:45AM on the 9th. Any suggestions on parking or getting from your house to LAX?

to post a pic, you have to have a host site, like Photobucket or similar.

You download the pics onto that host site and then cc and past the url where you want it in your post.

just remember the has to be at the beginning

and

has to be at the end of the url

does that recollect your memory??

For everyone who wants to learn how to post pics, I decided, instead of sending out PMs every time, to just post the instructions here. Now we can just refer people to this post in the future!

Okay, this CAN be complicated but doesn't need to be... as long as I break it down step by step. Not that you're dumb... just so I'm clear!

1) You can upload your photos to a photo hosting site. I use www.photobucket.com. Any site like this will do. It's a photo hosting site. At the top of the page it says "Welcome to Photobucket", and you click there to register to use the site (it's free).

2) Once you log in, you can upload the photos. You do so by clicking on the link on the left hand side.

3) Leave the top dropdown box as is.

4) Go to image file #1. Click on "browse".

5) This opens up a box where you can browse the files saved onto your computer. You'll need to know where you saved the images to on your computer. I'd recommend somewhere easy so you can remember it.

6) When you found the file, doubleclick on it. This will close the box and send you back to the "image file #1" page on photobucket.com.

7) Click upload! Don't mess with anything; the icon in the upper right hand corner will show the page is working to upload.

8) When the file has uploaded, the page will refresh and show the picture has uploaded.

9) Copy the Filename web address starting with the "http" and ending with the "jpg".

10) Open a SECOND browser window (open up Netscape or Internet Explorer or whatever you use to surf the web).

11) Log onto the thread. Get to the page where you post your reply.

12) Paste the link you copied into the text box.

13) Repeat this process for all the images you want to post links to.

14) It's best, IMHO, to post the link to the webpage so that it doesn't take forever for the thread to load and your post isn't humongus.

Kelly tell DH HAPPY BIRTHDAY FROM US! My DH had his birthday yesterday. He wants to go to Buca di Pepo but not on a weekend here so I will probably take him Monday.

Its snowing sideways with tons of wind. Its cool to see the tops of the grass in certain places and the snow dunes just like sand dunes going on in my back yard.

Yes we are all paid up and ready to go, just sorting out the excursions and Palo reservations ready for 5am, our time, on Sunday.

We totally agree with you. This feels so easy! We thought it was because we have done all of these ports before and know what we want to do/not to do.

Kelly when are you guys leaving for the trip? Are you doing the book exchange bag outside your door like last time?

Did you all hear about United Airlines charging for the second bag now? That means only one checked under 50 pounds and one carry one per person FREE everything else will be charged. Yikes! Not sure if I would fly on them with all those extra charges!

My cousin has a little situation.. her daughter is 11yrs old and is a scuba certified diver ... BUT all the DCL excursions say 12yrs old with certification... my cousin says the laws here in the us changed last year that 11yrs can now be certified...
So we are looking into private scuba excursion which also include snorkeling with it... Anyone interested???

We've never done Alcapulco or Aruba, but Aruba doesn't look like there is much to do, so it looks like a great place to wander the streets. Does anyone know if we can drink the water and eat the food there?

Hey everyone, so Anna CACruisin is still booked on this trip, but only for another couple of days. She has every detail planned out for her and DD to do the trip, but really needs to find a way to knock off $1000. We tried a few options with other people, but nothing has panned out. Any ideas?

Hi guys! Yes, I've looked at this option. Unfortunately, most of my friends don't share my love of Disney. I even tried to talk my parents into going - can you say panicked look at the thought of spending two weeks on ship with Mickey Mouse . I know, I know, I've tried to explain/ show them how wrong they are, but to no avail...

I am so glad that so many of you guys are still going. Makes me want to go that much more since it really was the "people" that made the TA trip .

I still lurk occasionally on this thread and I will definitely be back if they run some super deals like last time.
