Hi all, here are some photos from the Rose Parade Floats in Pasadena. We go the day before to see them before the parade:

Alex wants to know if we are going to do the lanyards and the t shirts like on the transatlantic crossing and med cruise??? :confused3

Hey Gydell, Are you back from the frosty WDW? I've been thinking about you freezing there.

Yes, we should do the lanyards and shirts. I've checked into it, but have been waiting to do it until I knew for absolutely sure I'd be on the cruise. I'll know Feb. 9th and am doing everything possible to make that happen!!!!!

Are you also posting on the "Ship of Thieves" thread? They are planning lanyards but not until the 90 day mark when final payments are in. Stop in, say hi and ask for further info. I know I have seen the Cafe Press t-shirts but I've lost the link.

Hello Everyone! Merry Christmas!

We are looking for as much information as we can about the nursery aboard the Magic! My girlfriend Ann who is coming along on the PC, her and husband just adopted a son. He will be 11months and 1 week when we board the ship in May. So how does it work? Does it run the same as it did for my 4yr old almost 5yr old? Check in port side get pager and we are good to go.??? Is there a charge for under 2yrs old? How does sit work for shore excursions? Is the nursery open during that time? QUOTE]

Rufustee: My husband and I are adopting a son who will be 7 mos at the time of this cruise! :cloud9: My biggest questions have to do with his passport.
Tell your friend Congrats from us!
Cynthia

the nursery (Flounders) is $6.00 an hour. They let you book only 10 hours up front. Any portion of an hour is charged.

If the demand is not high, you can add hours but it is on a day to day basis.

You bring your own diaper bag with formula, diapers and treats inside. They have cribs in the back also for sleeping.

The CM's there are wonderful. It is clean and very well attended.

You will get a beeper and if they need you, you are to go to the Flounders right away to see what they want with you.

Other than that, you should be set to go.

Congratulations Cynthia on your Baby Boy! Ann, my friend, boy's name is Craig and his dob is June 7. They sound really close in age. Did you see the post from CACRuisin on page 11 of this post regarding the nursery?? Trust me Ann and I will be going directly to the nursery once we get on board and my husband will be heading to Palo's. With regards to the passport, she has been advised to apply NOW for the passport with the name on his birth certificate and once the adoption is finalized to apply for the amended passport. My friends are changing his birth name. They were told last week with the social worker visit that it is looking like the adoption paperwork should be all finalized in March. So keep your fingers crossed!! I know she will be bringing copies of the paperwork along just in case there is any question in LA. I hope this helps. Please don't be afraid to ask any questions.

I'm back as of today! It was cold for 3 days but we survived. We didn't stay in the parks after dark those days, it wasn't just the temps it was the wind at 20 mph that was the killer! There is a shirt and landyard being done for this cruise, and the group of people are great on the other site. When you get a chance stop over but don't even attempt to read the entire thread since there were 100 pages just in the week I was gone. They are chatty over there!

Rufustee,

Our son's name is Jonathan and our Social Worker told us last week that we shouldnt wait for the courts..it looks like it will be July before we get the final stamp and new birth certificate. I am starting the Passport process this week.

Look forward to meeting you on the ship!

Is everyone that was on the TA cruise and said they were going on the PC cruise still going?

Hi Guys, well as of today we are still in! That Feb. 9th date is looming over me because the downpayment of kindergarten ($15K) is Mar. 1st. and taxes the next month. UGH BUT, this trip is so much cheaper than the med trip - that helps.

Gydell, we had that horrible wind with extreme cold for one of our days too. We spent 4 hours going to the shows at WDW and then headed straight back to the hotel.

Congrats on all the babies! Yes, get those passports now, they will not let you board without them.

I think we are out. I haven't given up the two rooms yet, but probably will today or tomorrow. I didn't figure in all the graduation activities for my oldest. I just think I should be available her last month of high school. I am disappointed. :sad2:

I missed her preparations for prom last year. This year I would miss that, some choir concerts, and seminary graduation (a Mormon thing) and she's had perfect attendance. I just want to be there for her,

Well guys, we've decided to make the final deposit on the trip and commit to going!!!! We bought our one way tickets yesterday and are ready to jump onboard.

We haven't decided for sure yet. We might have to drop out. Obviously, we need to decide soon. We just committed to two bathroom remodels, so that is taking a large chunk of change. We just couldn't put them off any longer though.
