From SOG to Value Resort

Would anyone know which value resort is the closest to Shades of Green?

My son and his partner are thinking of joining us in Disney for winter a few days next winter. They would either share a room with us or go with a Value. Trying to figure how inconvenient it might be to stay in different resorts.

Honestly, I don't think, you can compare SOG to any Value Resort.

The value resorts are across property from Shades of Green- Shades of Green is near the Mk and the nearest values are probably the All Stars (near AK), Pop is more towards the DTD area of property. You do know that you can book a 2nd room for them at SOG (it will be booked at the highest rate not whatever you quailify for) but you can book up to 3 rooms per ID card holder (that is an adult)- over Christmas you can only get 3 per couple instead of 6 (3 for the husband and 3 for the wife).

I agree - get them a room at SOG rather than have them stay at a different resort.

If SOG runs a Jan. special, can I book an additional room at the special rate as well??

The kids were figuring a value would be cheaper with a discount than SOG, plus the free Disney transport from the airport.

I do agree, a Value would not compare to SOG quality and location wise..
And it would be a hassle to meet up each morning if they are on the other end of the campus.

I believe the second will still be the higher rate.

When we went with my cousin, we stayed at AKL and they stayed at Pop and it wasn't any more a hassle than if we had all stayed at the same resort, except we had issues with AKL transportation early in the mornings, but that's another issue.
