I just finished up with the trip report that I had missed. That was a lot of work. I will not get behind again!! I am so glad you get to go back soon to our happy place. I miss it so much. We have our trip booked for February right now, but my nephew just told me he is going with his band on Spring Break. So, I really want to go at the same time he does. I think we may be there the same time. March 14-18 is his spring break. So, I really wanted a family only trip too. I am thinking either changing to December or January for our trip by ourselves. I will keep you posted when I find out more.

Well, we are glad you are back. :)

My plan was to be there from Saturday a.m. the 13th until Thursday - 5 nights. However, when I checked out the Southwest flights that have just been released, that schedule is not being nice at all! It would be much cheaper to leave Sunday morning early, but the bad thing about that is that Jill can only get 2-3 days off, so that would short her a day. There are not many good prices during our week, so that's a real live bummer right now. We may have to shorten our trip just to take the room money and put it on plane tickets. I feel :sad1: and  after looking at the flight prices, because I really love those March trips.

MeMom and Jill, I can't believe I finally made it to the end of one of your reports! I'm usually always lagging behind!

First I should say HAPPY BIRTHDAY JILL! I feel like I know you all personally after reading all your TR's. Yes I am a lurker but i have finally posted! I had to share that yesterday on my way home from the store a car in front of me had a license plate that said MeMom and thinking of you it brough a smile to my face! Thanks for sharing all your Disney experiences! I love reading along!

Hello, former lurker! We love it when new people join us! :dance3:

Funny that you saw that license plate. Was it on a nice car? Maybe I can switch with them. They can have the one with the broken handle, and I'll take the one with my name on it. :thumbsup2

Keep chiming in. You will make some good friends, here; I just know it!

The weather could be anywhere up to 70's. (I'm hoping for higher temps)
We will probably have snow here so it will be a nice escape, no matter what.

I am excitted to finally see the holiday stuff too! A dream come true!

I wonder if you can still wear holiday tees and not look out of place. (for pics)

Morning MeMom, Lexi would like to know if the characters still dress up in holiday outfits ater Christmas is over?

The characters do wear outfits up until the first few days of January. You'll love the parades in Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom and the window displays and the decorations at the resorts. I am very excited for you! :santa:

I don't want to alarm you all, but I truly think the end is near. I will give you hard evidence that supports my findings.

1. Drew told his sister Happy Birthday on Facebook this morning, or maybe it was late last night for him. He did this willingly, with no reminder or coercion whatsoever. I saw it when I pulled up Facebook this morning and was shocked beyond belief.

2. Drew tagged himself in some of our Disney pictures....
AND he changed his profile picture to a Disney picture.
(Well, a picture when he was at Disney World, anyway.)

3. This is the clincher - I was making a compound word game for school, and Drew happened to be home. (That's a little bit of a shocker, in itself.) I asked him for a compound word. Of all the millions of compound words in the world that I would have expected him to say, such as motorcycle or racecar, he said a word that I never thought he would have even known or could have said without having an extremely high fever....

he said

BOOKWORM!!!

Bookworm has BOOK in it!
Drew is allergic to books, as far as I have always known.
He has always broken out in a sweat when he got near words, much less books with hundreds and thousands of words in them! :scared1:

Anyway, I just wanted to give you guys the heads-up, in case you are not in a good place -
tonight could very well be The Rapture - the big one!!!. :goodvibes

:lmao::lmao: MeMom you crack me up!!

I hope the end is not near as I have a nice long weekend coming!!:rotfl:

Bookworm huh???? And a Disney pic!! At least that was great that he remembered Jill's birthday:goodvibes

Bookworm? Just when you think you have a kid figured out, they go and throw the word bookworm at you.....:lmao:

Way to go Drew!!!

One more thing.

Happy Birthday Jill!

Wow. The world IS coming to an end. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

I'm not doing very well at keeping up but I'm still here!

Happy Birthday Jill!

HEY MeMom and gang. Just sitting out by the POP pool. Wanted to say Hi and that we are having a great time. Got to meet Poolrat. Everything was a walk on MK today.

Thanks MeMom! Lexi can't wait to see it all! :thumbsup2

:rotfl2:....your comments about Drew made me laugh...which made me cough....why won't this cold go away...already!

I can relate to having a son who would rather do anything than read a book. ;)

I love how kids can always find ways to surprize us...never a dull moment!

BrooklynnsMommy I hope you had a wonderful birthday. Did you go to our beloved Red Robin for dinner?

nowells I had read that it was very cold last January.
I can only hope for it to be different this year.
I have been "that" crazy Canadian wearing shorts in Alabama while everyone else is freezing cold....:rolleyes1
I got a lot of strange looks when I spent my first winter down south. I thought the weather was perfect!

MeMom, I was cracking up at that post about the end being near -- Drew reminds me a lot of my brother, especially the being allergic to books! Both Mike and Kailyn are not readers at all. I am the other extreme, I read wayyyy too much!

Your trip, and Katie's trip, seem to be coming up so fast! Katie's is in three weeks, and I know that you'll be in AK in eleven days, because Christine texted me while I was in the theatre waiting for Wicked to start saying that it was 12 days until our fake Epcot meet (as we are now calling our aquarium outing b/c it's kind of like the Living Seas) :rotfl: I'm so excited for you guys!

Well, I wouldn't want to short you a long weekend, and we couldn't end things right before a Disney trip , so I talked to The Man Upstairs and asked for a little more time.

Bookworm? Just when you think you have a kid figured out, they go and throw the word bookworm at you.....

I don't think I'll ever figure that boy out. He is opposed to reading for the most part, but yet he diligently reads the Popular Science and Popular Mechanics magazines that my co-teacher's dad hands him down. In other words, he reads what he wants to, but in school, he never 'wanted to'! He also watches historical stuff on TV. He seems like an 'unbright crayon', as one might tease, but he watches some pretty intense and intricate stuff on TV. He also likes to think he's hardcore, but he loves Andy Griffith and still sleeps under a Mickey Mouse comforter that's about a thousand years old. :rotfl: That thing is so worn and dingy that you can hardly see anything of it, but he's got in broken in and likes it just fine.

Wow. The world IS coming to an end.
I'm not doing very well at keeping up but I'm still here!

Everybody is busy, busy, busy, LL, so don't worry about it. School is piling it on for us right now, and I have a list a mile long to undertake in the weeks ahead. My planning times have been taken up with meetings, so my planning and preparation is being done after school and at home these days.

What a wonderful way to end a day! I'm glad you were able to walk on. We have cousins who just got there yesterday, so I hope it stays that way for them. :)

Is ENDTIMES a compound word?

I'll have to look it up.

The Disneyness in me came out, of course, as I was making the game. I had these cards that were popcorn boxes and the popcorn at the top, so you could put whatever on them - Math facts, words, whatever - to match. Here are some of my words. See if you have any Disney association.

You will. ;)

gingerbread
playground
riverside
airport
downtown
jellyfish
lifeguard
thunderstorm

Anyway, those were some of them. There were others.
I could make a Disney connection with each of them.
I think I am fully and certifiably warped.
In a magical way. :wizard:

When I get a cough, it lasts for a month. Thankfully, I only get about one a year. It's so annoying for it to perist, and my ribs hurt from coughing so much.

Jill didn't get to go out to eat on her birthday. I'm sure John will take her out at some point, and I'll buy her a birthday meal in Disney World.

Our mornings have been in the 40's here, which feels cold now. When it is 12-15 in a few months, 40's will be sounding fabulous!

Drew is smart about the things he wants to be smart about, and he tunes out what he is not interested in. That's the ADD in him.

We leave next Friday! :dance3: I was looking at the flights for March. Southwest must not be happy with us planning a March trip, because they are just being ugly about their prices! Jill is going to talk to her boss today and see if she can get some more days, because we may end up having to drive. I'm flexible and can change my days around to fit the cheapest flights, but Jill can't. She needs those weekend days, and the weekend flights are expensive. I may get those cheap flights and plan to go ahead and take Brooklynn, and our friend, Kay, and Jill and Bella can get and be there when they can, but I am going to hate it if it has to be only for a very short time for her. Maybe her boss will be understanding about the situation and give her 3-4 days. If she gets to go to Disneyland in January or February when John travels for business, that would make me feel better and make up for a shorter time in March, so I hope either one of those options work for her. I am hoping she can get on with the school Brooklynn will be going to next year, and then she will have her holidays, breaks, and summers off. :cheer2:

:lmao: I loved out loud when I read your post, MeMom! The end could very well be near! Not only is Drew doing such unbelievable things as tagging Disney pictures, wishing his sister happy birthday, and coming up with bookworm, but I will add my own evidence. Charles bought a new pair of tennis shoes the other day, and after showing them to me said, "I thought they would be good for Disney." :lmao:

Headed there tonight. I have a coupon for a free burger for my birthday!

That reminds me! I have my own evidence. I thought the world was coming to an end when my Charles suggested over the summer driving to NY to meet up with Katie and Patrick. :lmao:

My friend has ADHD, and she is much the same way. She still has problems in some areas, but she has gotten much, much better in other ways. I sat next to her when I went to see the musical Wicked last night with her, Charles and my sister, and the entire thing actually held her attention -- she only whispered to me once during the entire show, which was impressive b/c she has a hard time not being able to talk at the movies!

I hope that Jill can get those days! It's pretty easy for me to get days off from work, but I know it's definitely not the same for everyone. I hope she can get on with Brooklynn's new school, too. When my mom went back to work (when my sister was in kindergarten, I think) she chose to work where she did b/c it is part of the school system Kailyn would be in, so she gets the same vacations and even the same snow days. Worked out very well while planning Disney trips. ;)

Okay, you all are cracking me up. Drew's antics and Charles' comment about his shoes are hilarious. Are we in bizarro world?

As usual, I was 10 pages behind...so I'll sum it up in 3 quick statements:

Wonderful BLT pictures! You are making me even more excited for March!

Looks like a very fun way to spend the 4th of July.

Brooklynn's hair cut is ADORABLE!

Fairy DIS Mother, a title I will hold with honor :cloud9: Thanks Brook!

Your welcome! :goodvibes It's true! You send goodies all over this country...and perhaps even overseas!

Anyway, I just wanted to give you guys the heads-up, in case you are not in a good place -

YOU CRACK ME UP!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl: Between the bit about Drew and being warped in a magical way...I'm going to be giggling all afternoon as I clean the house, thank you! :flower3: :upsidedow :rotfl2:

Way to go Drew!!!!!!!!!!! :lmao:

LOL...MeMom you are too funny!!
