I have been in the hospital after being bitten by a fire ant last Wed. night. I went into antiphilactic shock. I enjoyed getting to see all your pictures as I am stuck in the bed or on the couch.

Oh my goodness! How scary; I'm glad you're OK!

Thank you all for your concern. I have always been allergic to bug bites but never like this. It was the scariest thing. I have been told that I can't wear sandals or flip flops and I have 3 epi-pens with me at all times. I am truly thankful to be alive.

Scary stuff, huh? People with food/insect/etc. allergies must really beware when they are out and about having a good time. Something most people take for granted could be life threatening for them. I worked summer camp with a lady who has many severe food allergies, and she has been hospitalized several times and truly did almost die once.

::yes:: I have a friend who has food allergies (all seafood and nuts, even coconut), and whenever we go out to eat, she has to explain her allergies to the servers, and if it's somewhere she hasn't been before, she has to ask how they cook everything. She also has to read the ingredients on everything to make sure it doesn't have coconut oil or traces of nuts. Charles and I know now what to look for when we buy things, like candy or cookies, to make sure she can have it. It's actually kind of an ingrained habit now...even when we're not with her, we still read the ingredients.

Jill really wants to make a trip to Mall of America, too. :)

As far as I have always known, bodacious is bodacious. I thought their spelling was a little odd.

One day we'll get Henry and the girls splashing around in some water jets together. Maybe at Pop in March, or at DTD?

I am still up for that meet at the Mall of America!! Just let me know! I am thinking we might do a longer trip to Minnesota in August of next year - thought August in MN isn't exactly pleasant all the time...

I laughed when I re-read my post just now, I didn't realize I had spelled it WRONG as per Pop. That is an odd spelling. Bodascious. My spell check doesn't like it. Could Disney have made a mistake?!?!

That Little Ones Water Jet meet (you can probably think of a better name!) sounds fantastic! Do you guys have your dates yet? I would love to come over to Pop - Henry would love seeing all those icons, and the pools are fantastic (and so is the food!) Ideally we will be there from the 10th-20th. I'm going to see what Joe thinks about a possible split stay between Pop (or an All Stars) and DVC so we can save on points. So maybe we'll be neighbors for a while! Are there usually decent AP discounts in March?

I hope your Dismeet in Atlanta went well, I haven't read back, just wanted to pop in and say hi. We're having a wonderful time, at least now. The trip down was rough, Carter started running a 104 deree fever, so we had to stop at an emergency room! It ended up taking us 13 1/2 hours to make a 6 hour trip, but the important thing is our little man is fine, just had a virus nd was pretty much over it by Sunday afternoon. We're on our way to the studios this morning.

By the way, we LOVE Pop! I'm looking forward to staying here again!

Terri

It did. I hope you can come next time.

What a not fun way to start a trip! I'm glad he got better quickly.

It's nice that you like Pop. It's dear to our hearts.

Your DIS friends are all concerned about you. Keep yourself safe! ::yes::

I know a lot of schools have gone peanut-free in the past few years just for those reasons.

August would probably be out for me unless it was the first few days. Next summer, I am hoping we can go to WDW at the end of July and into the first bit of August, but it depends on what our school dates are.

We'll probably take the Saturday a.m. flight (13th, I think?) and be there around lunchtime. Jill and Bella may have to leave Tuesday night, but the plan is for me, Brooklynn, and our friend, Kay to stay another couple of days. I hope it will work out for us to meet while Jill is there.

I think the black-out dates are usually more Easter related than spring break related We've always gotten AP rates, that I can recall.

Here we are - it's the Fourth of July, and we are in Disney World!

Later, these stops will be full of happy, hot, sweaty Disney guests. For now, they are quiet and peaceful.

I love the WL pictures and the Pop bunny! We didn't see any WL bunnies this year. But I did see an armadillo walking on the side of the road when I was on the monorail. AND when we were on the train in MK, we saw a real deer hanging out with the fake deer. I'm completely serious! It was so cute!

I just realized I never told you about this! I discovered on sunday that Leslie has taught Caleb the whole alphabet. If you point to a letter he'll say it. He has trouble with a few. "F" and "W" and a couple others. But it's really impressive!

I'm very excited because tonight we get to go to Toys R Us to shop for my second cousin Holly's baby shower. Finally, it's a girl! Not that I don't love the boys(In addition to Kazin and Caleb, Holly's sister Andrea has a 2 and a half year old son named Adam) but I'm excited to finally get to pick stuff out for a girl :lovestruc

I love Pop century in the mornings everything is so fresh and clean. The store at Pop is so uncrowded. The food court music is on low until about 7:30, then everything seems to spend up, and wake up.

I've never seen Pop so peaceful and quiet...I really enjoyed seeing it that way through your pics! :thumbsup2

Bella's bow...too cute! How long did it last? ;)

I just LOVE the opening at the MK...your pictures are great! :goodvibes

Wow you get up really early. Of course its so nice and serene at that time.

The girls outfits are so cute. That bow is just the perfect touch. How long did it stay in?

The MK opening show is my favorite opening show. It always brings tears to my eyes.

Ready for the rest of the day.

I know a lot of schools have gone peanut-free in the past few years just for those reasons.

The center that my mom works at is peanut-free. There has been the occasional parent who has gotten peeved over that because their kid only likes/only eats peanut butter sandwiches, but luckily those parents are fairly few and far between.

As always, I love your early morning Pop pictures! I also want to know, how long did Bella's bow stay in?

What peaceful Pop pictures. I always love seeing them.

Bella is too cute dragging her suitcase around. I'm guessing her bow stayed in for 5 seconds!

The MK welcome show is just so special.

My goodness I am also in love with that adorable stuffed giraffe. I will be looking for him in October!

You must have woken up SO early to get those empty shots at Pop!! :worship: Love them!!

Happy 4th of July!! :)

I have finally made an index card with a list of what I am allergic to food wise. there are actually 15 items on the list but thankfully none are life threatning. With me it is mostly combinations of things that make me feel  so I just have to space everything out.
I decided to do this after dinner at Teppan Edo where the language barrier was more difficult and I just gave up after a couple of items. :rotfl2: Now I can just hand them the card.

What a nice walk around Pop in the early hours of morning! What time were you up that day, MeMom? It must have been the crack of dawn considering how dark it was!

Hope Bella enjoyed her mini-trip to the bathroom!

The girls are adorable in their Fourth of July finery!

I am lucky enough to have only a couple of very mild food allergies -- raw apples and pitted cherries. Those don't make me sick, only itchy in my mouth and ears. Some apples, like golden delicious, cause more of a problem, like itchy red splotches (I don't think hives b/c there's no bumps, just redness and itchiness) on my face in addition to the other itchiness. Cabbage makes me very sick so I've learned to just totally avoid that in any form. That is such a good idea about the card! That must make it much easier.

We have missed you. :)
Your girls would have fit right into all the fun and activity that was going on with the DIS kids in our little alcove of the food court.

Oh my goodness! My girls would have loved it! And their mom, too!! ;) I can't even tell you how much I thought about you all on Saturday and how much fun you must be having. I even thought to text you to say hi to everyone but I figured you probably wouldn't hear it through all the fun! :goodvibes

Awesome pics of everyone at the meet, especially the girls with Trent. Great group shot! :thumbsup2 So cute to see all the kids together.

Thanks for the WL pics...sigh...we didn't make it over there at all this summer, but I really hope to next month. :cool2:

If that giraffe is one of those pillows, I think we may be giving one a home, as well. Does anybody know if they have zebras??

Can't wait to see the pictures of Bella's first Chef Mickey's meal! :cutie:

Have a fabulous Friday! :)
