It's a Small World is always nice to take a morning ride on! Is today the day Jill and family are coming to you?

They got here late Friday. We had a good day together yesterday.

Thanks for the "tour around the world" this morning!

I love the pictures from Main Street U.S.A. ~ there is nothing else like it! I especially like the one of the horse...I think he posed just for you! :goodvibes

I think those;) horses get very used to posing.

That's the EXACT thought I had too when I saw Anita's post. :rotfl: :goodvibes

Hope you have a good time today!

Jill and I seem to turn just about any activity into something that reminds us of Disney World.

What a sweet surprise to think I was getting a morning phone call from MeMom and it was Brooklynn instead! Plus a bonus tidbit from Bella too! Thanks so much for starting my Saturday morning out with a smile!
Have a great day with your girls!

The dolls were a hit, but as I told you on the phone, there is now a need for two strollers. The one I have is not enough for two little mommies now, and it's pretty small anyway, so Brooklynn is outgrowing it. I'll see if I can find one on sale somewhere before Christmas to remedy that situation. Two strollers = two happy girls and their babies.

How did you like Bella's 'yaint yoo'? She has good manners. :thumbsup2
She says 'yaint yoo' any time you ever hand her anything.

Thanks for getting Jill's tin, too, and for the Disney Advent calendar. They will enjoy opening that.

Good morning everyone. I hope everyone is having a better day than me. I am sick with a virus and feel terrible. I have company from KY and I am supposed to be at the TN-KY football game, but I did not make it. Luckily, my children are with their grandparents. I can hardly take care of myself today. I hope you have a great day today with your girls. I love the pictures of MK. I cannot believe I will be there in less than 2 weeks. Time flies!

It's not at all cool when the doctor is sick! I am glad you at least only had to take care of yourself so that you could do that properly. If the boys were here, I know you would have been forcing yourself to overdo to take care of them. I hope you are feeling better today. We've had a lot of sickness at school, inlcuding a bunch of teachers, but so far I have managed to avoid it.

Have you seen the new Winnie the Pooh queue? I just know Brooklyn and Bella are going to love it!

http://www.parkeology.com/2010/11/winnie-pooh-and-blustery-queue.html

I did, and I meant to show it to Brooklynn yesterday, but we got busy. They will love it. It looks great, and I am excited about how cool all the new things in Fantasyland might be in the future. :)

Great Fantasyland update x 2!!! I agree with everyone else about Its a Small World. SO sweet! I missed it in Disneyland b/c it was closed, and this summer because NO one would ride it with me!!! BUT I will get my ride in at the Christmas party!!! ;)

A lot of people hate that ride, but I think it is cute, and it will always be special because of my memories of the first time Brooklynn watched it. She was just delighted with all the sights and sounds and smiled so big.

Our girls will be happy to ride it with you any time you don't have a riding buddy. Just swing by here and pick them up. :)

Hi MeMom! Hi Jill!

I haven't been on in forever! Are you still on the July trip? I will try to catch up. Hope you are doing well. The Main Street view from the castle shot is really cool!

Almost to the end. We have part of a day, one full day, and then departure day left.

We are okay. Just hoping to get all the car issues settled within eight days, as that is how long they will pay for a rental car. We're overnighting mail to get within that time frame and crossing fingers that all goes smoothly.

**************************************

We had a fun day yesterday. The girls and I had pancakes and eggs and played with new Baby Ariel and Baby Belle from Mr. Marc and Miss Anita Wigd while Jill and John did some shopping. Jill and I ran errands related to the car.

Jill, Brooklynn, and I went to see Tangled while Bella napped. Coincidentally, two sets of cousins were there, as well. Jill and Brook saw Carson and Parker when they went out for popcorn. They were leaving a prior Tangles movie. Later, someone tapped Jill on the head from behind, and we looked up to see Heather and her oldest son, Kemper, right beind us. So, seeing cousins was an added bonus to the fun.

We came back to the house to get Bella and headed to Dawn's grandparent's house. We enjoyed a short visit with them. I know her grandparents are going to miss them so much when they have to leave this morning. Their house has been full of company the past few days. Seth is such a sweet boy, and he was kind enough to stop in mid-bottle and let us hold him. Her dad was there, and we got to meet her sweet grandparents that she brags about so much. She is right; they were both so sweet and welcoming. I enjoyed talking with her grandmother just chit-chatting. She said she just loved having children in the house and got a kick out of watching Brooklynn and Bella play with Sherman and Eli.

Back at home, we enjoyed a meal of chicken and dumplings, mashed potatoes, dressing, 'roney' and cheese, green beans, corn, and rolls. After that the girls and I hung out at home while Jill and John went to do more shopping. Rivergate, the mall closest to us, has absorbed some of the Opry Mills stores (closed from the flooding) so she was glad to get to go to Carter's and OshKosh.

Jill surprised me with a few things to add to my Japan display this week - two pretty paper lanterns and some fans. She's an A+ daughter, I tell ya. :thumbsup2

Bella was in bed and Brooklynn was falling asleep watching Hercules when they got back. It was a good day.

I just remembered, while looking ahead at pictures, that on this day, it was just the girls at Magic Kingdom. John had slept in. So, it was just Jill and Brooklynn doing BTM while Bella and I did Fantasyland.

Anyway, Bella and I took another ride on the Carrousel.

Then, since the girls still weren't back, we had time for Snow White.

I'll allow the first picture of me, if you'll take off that last one. I'm looking way funky there. Looks like one eye is crossed, and my mouth is doing something weird.

It was great to see you, too. I know you'll be glad to have some time winding down at home today. You've had a busy few days.

As always I was a few updates behind haha

Enjoyed seeing the AKL pictures...the Sunday after Thanksgiving last year, Chris and I were checking into that very resort. It's making me a little sad today :guilty: But seeing all the pictures is bringing back some amazing memories as well.

What a productive morning at the MK, too. I love the picture of Brookie running towards you

Enjoy your last day of Thanksgiving break. I'm in for a 6 day work week starting tomorrow :headache: Have to work to pay for those Disney trips!

Oh MeMom, just stop already with picking apart your pictures! Dawn, it looks like a fun meet and Seth is growing like a little weed!
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday afternoon everyone!

It was great looking at disney pictures while eating left over turkey.

Dawn thinks for the meet pictures, the girls looked adorable playing with Eli and Sherman and Seth is a cutie. Did I spy the famous Ariel baby in one of the pictures?

Sounds like a super fun day yesterday! Did everyone like Tangled?

Brooklynn loved it, of course. It was cute, but it had a few intense scenes in it. A 'beware' for you and tinkgurl - one scene has a closed-in cave with water rising around two characters. I feel compelled to warn you. :thumbsup2

I imagine Seth is glad to be away from being passed around the room for days on end, but thanks for letting us hold him for a minute. He will just make your holidays so bright from here on out. We will enjoy watching him grow up in the Disney magic.

Well, we've been really trying to push it to get almost to the end of this one before we run out of pages.

I've been so excited to see pictures from those who are there now, but it sure does give you the yearning to go even more, as you can 'feel' yourself standing in those same spots.

Paying for Disney trips is why I work the after-school tutoring and why I do everything I can to keep the household budget in check.

Dawn said he has doubled his weight. We enjoyed visiting with all of Dawn's family.

You should know now that I strongly dislike pictures of me. Hate, abhor, despise, detest, loathe - whatever is strongest...
This has been going all my life, even when I was young and skinny, so it is nothing new, but I dislike them even more now.
It's just going to be that way.

Ariel baby has been with us ever since she was opened. She went tot he movies with us, and Brooklynn thought she needed to pay, too. When the guy asked how many, Jill told him two adults and one child.
Brooklynn added in her southern drawl as she held up Ariel, "Ayund this girl, too!"
Luckily, Ariel was free.

***************************************

Jill and crew left a few minutes ago. They are hoping to touch base with Stasieki to pick up the pillow she got Jill a while back. They're playing text tag right now, I think.

I'm going to sit here for a few minutes and catch up on my Dising, and then I'll face school stuff a little later. It will be hard to go back in the morning, especially with so much going on this week, but at least another break is coming up soon. :dance3:

Love the MK updates. I love It's a Small World. It just makes me happy even though I get the song stuck in my head.:goodvibes

Wow that new queue for Pooh looks like it will be amazing!!

Looks like you had a great weekend with your girls. Glad you got to see Dawn & family. Seth is a cutie.

I'm with you MeMom. I do NOT like pics of myself either!! I would much rather be taking the pic instead of posing. I just do not take good pics. But I don't see anything wrong with yours though.:)

Well off to make a meatloaf. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

I'm glad you had fun this weekend! I'm not looking forward to going back to school tomorrow. I don't have any more days off until Christmas break :sad2:

Apparently today Kazin and Josh were at my grandma's house and Kazin grabbed the Minnie magnet off her fridge and said "Ickey Mouse!" He forgot the M and got the wrong mouse. :rotfl:

How is the car shopping going?

I went over and looked at the 4-Runner today. It belongs to my friend's daughter-in-law. This friend is also my mechanic. He has taken care of my cars, and he's taken care of this one, so I know it is as good as it can be. It has about 100,000 on it. Mine had 137,000. I have overnighted all my paperwork to my insurance company, and they will overnight the check back to me. I hope to have their check in my bank in a few days and have a check ready to write to my friend's son by the end of the week. I have the rental car for this week, but after that, I would have to pay on my own, so we will hope this goes through perfectly.

We have some special friends out in the Breadbasket that offered to sell theirs, and that was an option, but this, if it all plays out right, is more practical than taking time off, flying out there, and driving that one back.

If we were all in DIStown, however, that could have worked. :)

I like Small World, too - it's kid-friendly, and I've always been a kid person, so maybe that's why. I also think there's an educational element in there with the things that show the different cultures and the farewells in different languages.

It's always fun to have a DIS meet.
I have a feeling her grandparents would have been happy to have all the DISers around here come on over and have a big old meal together. :)

I know most grown people don't really care for pictures, but truly, I remember being a small child hating pictures. I just don't take good pictures, or I'm just really that ugly all the time. One of those. Either way, I really just do not want to be in pictures unless I'm just a little head in the back of a group or something.

Meatloaf sounds good. I'm having leftover chicken and dumplings for a couple of days, I guess.

We were going to eat at the Polynesian, but not at Kona or 'Ohana - just here.

Pullseye was interested in Brooklynn's waffle. I think he was hoping she'd drop a crumb or two.

Pictures of Tonga Toast had been requested.

I have to scrape some of the banana out. I like a little of it, but not a lot.

IMG_7928.jpg

I wish to stay here someday. A Fourth of July night would be excellent.
Watch fireworks from the beach and walk back to the room in a matter of minutes.
Very nice. ::yes::

I had come not only for the Tonga Toast, but for a glass container to put in my bedroom. I have gotten a pinch or two of sand from the Poly beach a couple of times and put it in a baggie.
Weird souvenir, right?
Still, I think it is cool to have a tiny handful of real Disney sand in my bedroom.
I hadn't found anything to put it in, though, so it was still in two ziplock bags. I wanted a resort specific glass to put it in before they completely stopped selling anything resort specific.

I didn't want anything this big, but this was all they had, so this is what I got.

IMG_7930.jpg

I like it. I'll just have to get more pinches of sand on future trips to be able to get it anywhere near full.

Bella calls them both Meenie. ;)

We'll make it to Christmas break with the help of all our Dis friends. :goodvibes

I love your Snow White and Philharmagic photos! :thumbsup2 Takes me back right there....

It sounds like your Thanksgiving weekend was a nice one! We had a great time too - Caroline and her parents were in town, so that was a lot of fun. I also got my tree and was going to decorate this afternoon, but I have to take the lights back - most of the strand didn't light, even when I messed with it. ;) So back to Target for me!

I am using this time to get started on my trip report - hopefully I will do a better job of it this time around!! :upsidedow

Have a great week!

I love your photos of Fantasyland. It was so empty! The MK first thing in the morning is the best.

Reluctantly I took that second picture off, even though I think you look beautiful in both of them! But this is your thread so I will comply. :)

Bella calls them both Meenie. ;)

We'll make it to Christmas break with the help of all our Dis friends. :goodvibes

Kazin said "Mee mouse" when he saw Minnie a few weeks ago but I guess he's decided that they're the same mouse  He calls Caleb "Cabub." Close enough :rotfl:

Yup ::yes:: Next year in college I get a full month off for Christmas :worship:

Great updates MeMom! Looksa like you had a great Thanksgiving. Got to see all yours girls and see baby Seth. How lucky are you?

I've been busy. Didn't do Black Friday(never do), but I did go to Memphis yesterday shopping. Made it to the Disney store and thought of you. I told Sarah that I dropped the ball because I forgot my camera so I couldn't take pics for you. lol

I do have a few pictures of the Disney tree I put up for me and Ty. I will add ornaments to it every year. I plan to buy a Christmas ornament everytime I go to Disney to represent each trip.

It's not a WDW tree but it's a start......
