I refuse to answer on the grounds that I may say that look is pretty common with John. He was not raised around little kids. His tolerance for more than them sitting down being very still and very quiet is pretty low. He's still in training. The girls were very good during that meal. He probably didn't like that she was standing up, but he might as well get ready to use 'the look' a whole lot with that one, because she is going to give him a run for his money.


I was thinking the same thing when I saw that pic. I wish the look would work on Ty. But, Ty has a VERY strong will and a temper to go with it. But, he also lives with 4 adults and everyone is not on the same page when it comes to what and what is not acceptable behavior.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

I, for one, am thankful my day started with my beloved Animal Kingdom Lodge and those zebra domes! My mouth is watering just looking at them. Too bad I can't start eating that pecan pie I made right now.

The desserts were good, but the roast stands out to me for that meal. It ranks up there with a Kona steak.

Pecan pie is a favorite at our house!

Enjoy the parades, some football, the food, and most importantly the time with your families.

Since I am not cooking, I have actually been working on some school stuff. Shameful, I know, but the clipboard people are coming back Tuesday, and our Japan stuff has to be by Monday night. There is much, much, much to do!

All of our DIS buddies are spread all over the place to celebrate, but it's nice to come here and feel connected for a minute before the festivities begin.

Jill was raised around a lot of kids, so her expectations are very realistic and based on years and years of experience in school summer camps, church summer camps, basketball camps, before and after school care, and me babysitting in my house on weekends. John wasn't around kids, so the girls are his only experience. Truthfully, they just ignore the look, so it does him no good anyway.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

We're going to my mom's cousin's house in a couple hours. We always have Thanksgiving with my mom's cousins and aunts and uncles. It adds up to about 30 people But everyone brings something so it works.

I'm very thankful for my little buddy Kazin who I get to see today I remember last Thanksgiving everybody wanted to see him because they don't see him as often as me. We were basically playing pass the baby all around the table Speaking of babies, my second cousin on the other side of my mom's family just had her little girl on Saturday

I figured that might be it. I hate to say it but even though I was around kids a lot, mine gave me a run for my money but each in a different way. I hope all goes well at John's parents since I know that can be stressful. Pixie dust to Jill. John is just trying to keep the order in his life with children who may not folllow the plan.


My DD was the stubborn one that you cannot reason with. She still is. It just has to be her idea. We just needed to figure out what she was trying to do and guide it something that was acceptable or the least disruptive. She taught me flexibilty and to enbrace the difference in everyone.

My DS never forgets anything. He was also the food oriented one. Never misses a meal and wants to know when the next one is coming.
He taught me accountability and to think about what I say especially if I was "promising" something. If I was making 3 shopping stops there better not be a 4th. He can be intense and is a planner. Communication is all he wants.
I love them both and believe I am a better person because of them.

Very peaceful, but since I am not doing the regular holiday stuff, I almost wish I could have been working in my classroom today. Not really wanting to, but more needing to.

No one was hurt. The insurance guy comes tomorrow and we'll go from there. That's all I can do, but I am still really just so sick about the whole thing. I want to turn back the hands of time and tell Drew no on using the car. Why? Why? Why?

I am glad you showed this. I did try to do the moves - discreetly but I am not 100% sure that is how we did it. I will blame my memory of it. I don't remember any spinning around.

After our delightful, delicious meal, we made our way upstairs, through the lobby, and out through Zawadi.

Some t-shirts I hadn't seen.

I think the panda baby is cute. The monkey would be, but his face is freaking me out a little. I think they could have made him more cute and less freaky.

A way to bring the parks home with you.

I am sure I took this for the alphabet, thinking U would be hard to find.

A table set with these at a fun Animal Kingdom party would be so cool!

And a little tiny bit expensive.
But still cool.

I have always liked flamingos.

I know the plastic ones in yards are jokes, but I think the birds themselves are interesting.

So, that was our evening at Boma, and the meal was everything we had wanted it to be. We missed Jarvis being with us, because he had looked forward to this meal a lot. Next time he gets to go with us, we'll try again.

Mickey was comparing last nights unique meal to the dull Pop-tarts and common food of the morning.

After Pop-tarts and fruit, we caught a bus to Magic Kingdom.
There was landscaping work being done that morning.
I never take a picture of landscapers out here in the real world, but in Disney World......

Little mice friends that I like much better than the ones who have been finding their way into our school lately.

I think this morning was one that Brooklynn wanted to do Big Thunder, so Bella and I hung out in Fantasyland while the others went out west.

It is nice that we are at this point in the report, because the new queue to this has just opened. If you did not read about it and see the pictures, go do so. Kids are going to love it.

If the spring trip happens, I know the girls will really enjoy playing in the new queue.

I love it! Our kids have always called any sort of meat chicken. It is something of a joke in our family. Yesterday, as his Aunt Michelle was helping Connor fix his plate, he said, "I would like some chicken." Michelle told him it was turkey, and his response was, "It's all bird."

Oh no!!! Well, it some ways that would make it a very authentic Pilgrim feast!

Yeay for an early morning walk down Main Street. Due to those pictures, you don't know how close I am to booking a May trip. Who needs Black Friday sales when you can put down a deposit for Disney?
