I refuse to answer on the grounds that I may say that look is pretty common with John. He was not raised around little kids. His tolerance for more than them sitting down being very still and very quiet is pretty low. He's still in training. :goodvibes The girls were very good during that meal. He probably didn't like that she was standing up, but he might as well get ready to use 'the look' a whole lot with that one, because she is going to give him a run for his money.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw that pic. I wish the look would work on Ty. But, Ty has a VERY strong will and a temper to go with it. But, he also lives with 4 adults and everyone is not on the same page when it comes to what and what is not acceptable behavior.

Wishing you all a beautiful day of counting your blessings!
Thank you for your friendship toward us all through the year.
Safe travels, hearty eating, and good family and friends time to everyone!
[/QUOTE]

I want to wish everyone here A Happy Thanksgiving and a wonderful weekend to go along with it.
(Sorry I can't even seem to quote right):confused3

Happy Thanksgiving! I think I am finally caught up!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

I, for one, am thankful my day started with my beloved Animal Kingdom Lodge and those zebra domes! My mouth is watering just looking at them. Too bad I can't start eating that pecan pie I made right now.

The desserts were good, but the roast stands out to me for that meal. It ranks up there with a Kona steak.

Pecan pie is a favorite at our house! :thumbsup2

HAppy Thanksgiving to all our friends south of the border.

Enjoy the parades, some football, the food, and most importantly the time with your families. :goodvibes

Since I am not cooking, I have actually been working on some school stuff. Shameful, I know, but the clipboard people are coming back Tuesday, and our Japan stuff has to be by Monday night. There is much, much, much to do!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Same to you and yours!
All of our DIS buddies are spread all over the place to celebrate, but it's nice to come here and feel connected for a minute before the festivities begin. :)

Thank you! I really feel bad with all my complaining about a gallbladder when there is so much worse going on in other families.

Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday!

I hope your issues will have a quick fix and you'll feel better than you have in a long time. :goodvibes

Jill was raised around a lot of kids, so her expectations are very realistic and based on years and years of experience in school summer camps, church summer camps, basketball camps, before and after school care, and me babysitting in my house on weekends. John wasn't around kids, so the girls are his only experience. Truthfully, they just ignore the look, so it does him no good anyway.

**********************************

If you have extra pixie dust laying around this morning, you can send it Jill's way. Jackie sent her some, but she said she is need of more! ;)

On a funny note, Brooklynn called and told me Happy Thanksgiving. She told me she was about to watch 'the chicken parade'. :rotfl: I told her I had just seen that very chicken - oh, he's on now! Hello, Chicken!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

We're going to my mom's cousin's house in a couple hours. We always have Thanksgiving with my mom's cousins and aunts and uncles. It adds up to about 30 people  But everyone brings something so it works.

I'm very thankful for my little buddy Kazin who I get to see today :goodvibes I remember last Thanksgiving everybody wanted to see him because they don't see him as often as me. We were basically playing pass the baby all around the table  Speaking of babies, my second cousin on the other side of my mom's family just had her little girl on Saturday :cutie:

That roast was melt-in-your mouth delicious!

AKL would be a good resort to choose for a non-park trip. :thumbsup2

It did look good. Mental note. :thumbsup2

I figured that might be it. I hate to say it but even though I was around kids a lot, mine gave me a run for my money but each in a different way. I hope all goes well at John's parents since I know that can be stressful. Pixie dust to Jill. John is just trying to keep the order in his life with children who may not folllow the plan. ;)

My DD was the stubborn one that you cannot reason with. She still is. It just has to be her idea. We just needed to figure out what she was trying to do and guide it something that was acceptable or the least disruptive. ;) She taught me flexibilty and to enbrace the difference in everyone.

My DS never forgets anything. He was also the food oriented one. Never misses a meal and wants to know when the next one is coming.
He taught me accountability and to think about what I say especially if I was "promising" something. If I was making 3 shopping stops there better not be a 4th.;) He can be intense and is a planner. Communication is all he wants.
I love them both and believe I am a better person because of them.

Macy's Day Parade
I love when the bands play disney music!!!!! The band is playing FANTASMIC right now!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!! Hope your day is fun-filled and that you are surrounded by those you love!

LOVE Brooklynn's "chicken parade!" That is too cute!

Happy Thanksgiving! Wishing hearty eating and family fun to all of you as well. And pixie dust to whomever is in need! :goodvibes

Happy Thanksgiving, MeMom!

I just read about your car. I'm so sorry that happened. We are so looking forward to having one of our cars paid off in February and I can't even imagine it being totaled right now. I am glad no one was hurt and I hope all of this is resolved quickly!

Happy Thanksgiving! I think I am finally caught up!

It's always good to hear from you when you get the chance to check in. I hope you are having a fun day with Caleb.

Have a great day with your family.
I bet there is a lot of good food!

happy thanksgiving!!!

Same to you.
Is it windy in your neck of the woods? It's pretty windy here.

It did look good. Mental note. :thumbsup2

To you guys, too!

LOVE Brooklynn's "chicken parade!" That is too cute!

I'll have to wait on that surrounding part. Right now I am surrounded by the laptop, Disney music, and House Hunters. Not a bad day, actually, and I will make it better in a little while by eating a plate of leftovers. ;)

Happy Thanksgiving! Wishing hearty eating and family fun to all of you as well. And pixie dust to whomever is in need! :goodvibes

Jill needs even more, because the power went off up there. Now they are sitting in the dark. :rotfl: Poor girl!

Happy Thanksgiving Memom! I hope your day is absolutely wonderful and peaceful.

Very peaceful, but since I am not doing the regular holiday stuff, I almost wish I could have been working in my classroom today. Not really wanting to, but more needing to.

I am hoping there will be some good Christmas movies on later and I'll absorb myself in one of those.

Happy Thanksgiving, MeMom!

Don't drive anywhere for the next three months! :scared1:
No one was hurt. The insurance guy comes tomorrow and we'll go from there. That's all I can do, but I am still really just so sick about the whole thing. I want to turn back the hands of time and tell Drew no on using the car. Why? Why? Why? :sad2:

Happy Thanksgiving to my DIS friends!
Have a wonderful day! xxx

Thank you. I know most all of our DIS friends are having wonderful family time today. If the wind doesn't blow my power out, I'll be okay with this quiet day alone.

What you are getting now weather wise, I will be getting tomorrow. :scared1:

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope everyone enjoyed their time with their loved ones.

I stopped by Pop to visit some friends. Here's a pic of MeMom's favorite tree from her favorite place.

The rain brought colder air with it. I just went to take trash out, and it is chilly. I am glad to not be a person standing in a line outside a store right now.

I was so jealous, yet so happy, when you texted me the pictures from Pop yesterday! I am glad you got to go over there for all of us! :dance3:

You sure did a good job of remembering The Hustle. A dancer I am not. I would never be abe to get all those steps synchronized.

Ah memories. I remember doing the hustle at many bar and bat - mitzvahs.
I am glad you showed this. I did try to do the moves - discreetly but I am not 100% sure that is how we did it. I will blame my memory of it. I don't remember any spinning around.

I've never participated, but I enjoy watching them do it. :)

After our delightful, delicious meal, we made our way upstairs, through the lobby, and out through Zawadi.

Some t-shirts I hadn't seen.

I think the panda baby is cute. The monkey would be, but his face is freaking me out a little. I think they could have made him more cute and less freaky.

A way to bring the parks home with you.

I am sure I took this for the alphabet, thinking U would be hard to find.

A table set with these at a fun Animal Kingdom party would be so cool!

IMG_7773.jpg

IMG_7774.jpg

IMG_7775.jpg

And a little tiny bit expensive.
But still cool. :)

I have always liked flamingos.

IMG_7776.jpg

I know the plastic ones in yards are jokes, but I think the birds themselves are interesting.

So, that was our evening at Boma, and the meal was everything we had wanted it to be. We missed Jarvis being with us, because he had looked forward to this meal a lot. Next time he gets to go with us, we'll try again.

Let's move onto the morning of July 8th.

Mickey was comparing last nights unique meal to the dull Pop-tarts and common food of the morning.

IMG_7783.jpg

After Pop-tarts and fruit, we caught a bus to Magic Kingdom.
There was landscaping work being done that morning.
I never take a picture of landscapers out here in the real world, but in Disney World......

Little mice friends that I like much better than the ones who have been finding their way into our school lately.

I think this morning was one that Brooklynn wanted to do Big Thunder, so Bella and I hung out in Fantasyland while the others went out west.

It is nice that we are at this point in the report, because the new queue to this has just opened. If you did not read about it and see the pictures, go do so. Kids are going to love it.

If the spring trip happens, I know the girls will really enjoy playing in the new queue.

If you have extra pixie dust laying around this morning, you can send it Jill's way. Jackie sent her some, but she said she is need of more! ;)

Poor Jill! At least with all the pixie dust headed her way, she was all glittery and pretty for the drama!

On a funny note, Brooklynn called and told me Happy Thanksgiving. She told me she was about to watch 'the chicken parade'. :rotfl: I told her I had just seen that very chicken - oh, he's on now! Hello, Chicken!

I love it! Our kids have always called any sort of meat chicken. It is something of a joke in our family. Yesterday, as his Aunt Michelle was helping Connor fix his plate, he said, "I would like some chicken." Michelle told him it was turkey, and his response was, "It's all bird." :lmao:

Jill needs even more, because the power went off up there. Now they are sitting in the dark. :rotfl: Poor girl!

 Oh no!!! Well, it some ways that would make it a very authentic Pilgrim feast! :scared:

Yeay for an early morning walk down Main Street. Due to those pictures, you don't know how close I am to booking a May trip. Who needs Black Friday sales when you can put down a deposit for Disney?
