I was many, many pages behind, again! I had to skim through most of the chit chat, but I did catch the prayer request for Jarvis and his mother. I'll be sure to keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

Unfortunately, my mother in law is the reason I haven't been able to DIS much lately. I think I told you before that she has been in and out of the hospital. She had kidney and liver problems that we now think were masking her other problems. She was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer on Wed. 9/29, sent home with hospice on Sat. 10/2, and passed away on Tues. 10/5. They think it was likely that she had ovarian cancer, but they did an autopsy to figure it out (for hereditary reasons.) We don't have the results yet. I think my father in law said it would be another week or so before he had the results. It was a very emotional time-my husband was her baby, and I am one of those lucky ladies who actually loved their mother in law!

I am enjoying Jill's pictures on Facebook, and I can't wait to hear all about this trip. Also, I am hoping that your cat's health has improved!

I'm so sorry for your loss; we lost my MIL in a very similar timeframe so I know how tough it is to lose someone you love and admire so quickly. Hope you all find confort in each other.

Thank you so much. These last five months have really been a roller coaster ride. I am hoping things settle down a bit now--just in time for the whirlwind that is the holiday season !

Good morning from Saratoga Springs!

I am sitting here with Bella on the couch bed. Brooklynn is still asleep. We are getting ready to go to Epcot for the day. Jill is bribing Brooklynn with a quarter to try escargot. Normally, Brooklynn will do just about anything for another quarter to put in her bank. We'll see....

We were excited to meet Nicole two nights ago here at SSR. She was staying at The Paddock, but got off at our bus stop (Carousel), and we walked down there. I was happy to get to meet her, as she has been reading our reports since the first one, and we've missed each other on trips be just a few days several times. Great girl!
