From Oil Wells to Jingle Bells-Bells,pg.66, See you in September!

Crap! After over 4 years as a legitimate member of the Dis, I finally got over 1000 posts, and I don't know where number 1000 was posted at, I missed it even though I k new it was coming. Oh well, there's always the 2000 post, only 998 to go.
geesh!

"

sometimes I think he only remarried me so I could be fodder for his amusement!

I didn't say it! Nope, not me.

YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!! DIET CRACK COKE! Ok I am lying it doesn't matter if it had crack because I am already addicted and I haven't checked in with my sponsor. This was my morning routine...
e3868bd1.jpg

and maybe I would let the kids have one... later... GOD bless thirstbusters...

Kristen, that picture for me is the poster pic of a Disney vacation. We have the top cabinets over the stove and counter lined with the stupid mugs, but not buying new ones this trip. Sorry, gots plenty already and since the design hasn't changed and I just saw people using mugs that say Dixie Landings on them recently, I'm not gonna fret about it.

Oh the humanity!:cool2:

You know, when I read that I almost spit my manhattan on the screen.
I had said Diane told me the wait was 15 minutes and it turned out to be 20.
When I wrote that I was THIS close to writing "Oh the humanity" after it but I thought that was taking the joke line too far so I didn't.
But I wanted to!
Thank you, now I am complete.:happytv:

Jimmys got picked once...
What did the Ocean say to the beach?
Nothing...it just waved.

That's one you can share with your grandkids;):lmao:

By the way, for all those hanging by the seat of their pants waiting for the punchline to, "How do you make a handkerchief dance?" the answer is:
"Put a little boogie in it."
There, now you can sleep tonight. :lmao:

Plan dinner at the Poly and then watch from the beach!

We did that a few years ago but contrary to what they told us, there was really no sound over there.
The big speakers that are on that small island in between the Poly and MK are just for the Water Pageant.

Poor Smidgy...hope you gae her the "extra" one you pu t in yur pocket

Yes, as a matter of fact I did, geesh.

I'm spending the week at my dad's house as he is recovering from bypass surgery. It's like Groundhog Day here too only it's the Conway Twitty/Tammy Wynette version. ;)

Melinda, that should be George Jones/Tammy Wynette version, at least until she decided not to "stand by her man" anymore cuz he was always passed out on the ground!:lmao:

He's a single guy so I've been cleaning house (mostly the bathroom!) for the last few days and have now settled in to catch up on my reading.

Hope he's doing better, I'm sure he is with your care.

Loved the Sissyfuss and lizard Brokeback Mt episodes! BTW I also hit 2:22 or more often 99 on the microwave. Because nuked leftovers are my favorite meal. No kidding. And I can't believe you fell for the "new improved" Disney pizza schpiel. Suckah!

Yeah, yeah.

I'm only on page 14 of 40ish so I've got a ways to go. Just wanted to say that 24/7 I think you're good people, Nebo! Have a good one!

:flower3:

Very good, with your edit you pushed 5 buttons of mine at the same time, A NEW RECORD!

Without a doubt, there is no ride or attraction in all of Disney
that we have ridden as much as Big Thunder.
For a guy that has never turned away from any roller
coaster, even I have to admit it's still fun.
And she just loves it, it's in her fun range without being
too scary.

I'm with Smidgy on this one. I love this ride and it's the only 'coaster' that my family can easily get me to ride. However, we went to Disneyland 2 years ago and their version made me sick. It wasn't as smooth as the WDW one. We rode probably 5 times and I just couldn't get rid of the headache. I was so sad. I am such a ride chicken and I hate that! I wish there was a vike type pill I could take (I'd do Valium if only it was sold over the counter :rotfl:) but I just can't get myself to bite the bullet and go on. Even my 73 yo old mother will ride any coaster put in front of her. I am an embarrassement to my family :sad1::scared:

Way too hard on yourself. You feel like you are letting others down, but the only one who is really losing out is yourself, and you are not to blame for whatever phobias you have. And to be honest, you aren't missing that much. I haven't ridden Rock n Roll roller coaster in 3 years, not because I'm scared, just because it's not that fun.

And though I've never been to Disneyland and can't compare BTMR, I'd probably be a tad nervous on it too since that's the one a guy died on when a part of the train broke off and came flying back and hit him in the head.

Sorry you were busted, Smidgy--the last trip I took with my sister, she got me hooked on Malibu and Coke. Man, can she put those away! But we were travelling with my parents and that's how addicition starts!!

great update!

--

All addictions start from your parents, just ask my kids! Ok, better throw in a smiley face here, :rotfl2:

Still reading here....we will be staying at the Poly from 11/25 to 12/5. Are you and Smidgy driving again with this great Chicago weather??? I don't know how you do it!!!!

Nope, not driving this trip. Gonna die in the aluminum cylinder of death this time.

We would be up for a meet, if DH doesn't make other plans. He likes no iteneraries, ADRs, etc...We will be staying at the Poly so more then likely we can and I would love to see the fireworks from the beach. We stayed there last year and never saw them - to exhausted from being up to early. However, based on some of the few ADRs we have only 11/28 or 12/3 would work for us. Let us know....

I don't know now. Can't make the 3rd, have ressies in Epcot that night and to see the Holiday Illuminations tag and the 28th is when we check in, not sure if we will want to go anywhere that day, especially since Smidgy has to work the night before and the taxi will be coming around 4:30 in the morning, she'll be shot that day. More than likely we will go to the Poly on the 30th, Tuesday night. Do you have any idea what time they usually do the fireworks for the Christmas party? That would help.

By the way I don't know if you and Smidgy are big Blackhawk fans, but the Stanley Cup was at the hospital I work at last week and I got to personally escort it throughout because of my job. I hugged it a few times, freaked the security guy, but didn't kiss it since I had a sinus infection at the time. Now I get to rub it into my southside brother-in-law; now that is priceless!

That's great stuff about the Hawks and the trophy, I'm a big Hawk fan ever since the 60's. But they're making me sad so far this year and tonight they are playing against 4, count em, 4 ex team mates from last year.

They grow up so fast.

Ok, why did you put an angel right after the part of where I grow up so fast? You know something I don't? I don't want to grow up THAT fast!

Just had to pop on... stuck between us... lol

That does not happen very often.... (thank God) =0)

Write on my friend, write on..

Bee (Belinda)

Ok, that's not all coming through in the quote, she's saying I'm in between Melinda's and hers, Belinda's POSTS. Not posts, posts on the thread.,,, oh boy, um, HELLLLLLP!

two trip reports and no illness or injury. am i really reading the right tr??? jk

Well let's see, I started out the trip screwing up my knee, gashed my leg open at El Pirata el Perico, the taco place at MK, almost killed myself at Hollywood Studios as an extra in the Indiana Jones show, got so sunburned my skin was bubbling, and gashed my head open to the point blood was running into my ear getting on a bus.
You're right. It's been a pretty safe trip for me so far, but it's not done yet!:lmao::happytv::rotfl2:

don't feel bad smidgy at least ya got yo keep the meyers. my sil got tagged at the disneyland bag check for some blueberry jam we had taken to her and they told her to take it to her car or rent a locker for more than the jam was worth. sent my then 16 year old to the car for her. maybe they thought she was a spy from knott's berry farm (another so cal theme park) at least smidgy got caught with somethng fun

Holy Cow! It was almost the slammer for jammer? A cell for the jell? She didn't deserve the preserves? Ok, I'll stop now.:rotfl: But that's crazy either way. I can almost guarantee that on any given night we go into a park we are not only carrying modified Sunny D's with us or fuzzy cups filled with mixed drinks, but those little bottles are in my pocket.
Always be prepared, that's my motto, and no, I was never a boy scout.

Okay, I normally lurk on your TR's (mainly because I have this impulse to pull a Wayne and Garth "I'm not worthy!!!" moment) But I had to come out of hiding because my husband and I will be at Pop Nov. 28th to Dec. 7th!! Celebrating my 30th birthday on Dec. 1st!! :scared1:

Oh please don't say the I"m not worthy statement, I'm not worthy either, I'm only doing this cuz I got talked into it, we are all worthy in the eyes of the DIS.
That's great we'll be there at the same time. Tell you what, we can'[t even go to a park the first 4 days so we should be hanging around pools a lot then, you know what we look like so please, feel free to come up and say hi sometime. Better yet, if you do, come up to Smidgy with a loaded noodle!

I also should forewarn you that my husband blames you totally for my DIS addiction since it's your TR's that got me hooked... He didn't see me for a week while I was reading all of them...

Well, I appreciate the compliment, but I'm not sure that's so much an addiction as maybe, um, a sickness.
We'll see you at Pop, lot's of fun coming up in a few weeks! Too bad they don't have the frozen Cokes anymore.

Didnt mean to confuse anyone... lol

Nebo thanks for knowing what I meant... Sometimes, I am not as funny as I think I am... When I popped on and posted, I was cracking myself up...

Haha- Anyway...

Write on my friend, write on...

QUOTE]

By the way OM, I'm also supposed to be celebrating the birthday thing. Mine is two days before we arrive, the 26th.

Wow! 30 is but a distant memory for me! I know its only been 5 years but that really was a lifetime ago! :lmao:

Which anniversary? :lmao:

well, TODAY is the anniversary.. ours. 7 years. on the 2nd time around. but we went back to celebrating the 1st one june 17. we should have just remarried on the same day. much less confusion. so, we really dont' count today anymore.

and since we don't count those years inbetween, we dont' count them in our age, either!!!!:lmao:

that's a cruel thing to say to people in their 50's!!!!!:rotfl:

Opps! Nothing like putting your foot in your mouth unless you know someone is watching! :lmao: If it helps you feel better at all, it has been a rough 5 years! :rotfl2:

By the way OM, I'm also supposed to be celebrating the birthday thing. Mine is two days before we arrive, the 26th.

Cool.. just celebrated mine a few days ago.. Wish I could have timed our trip to celebrate at WDW, of course we'd have been there for the MNSSHP instead of MVMCP.. choice between the two, i choose Christmas by and far. If we run into you roaming the resorts on the first days of your arrival, i'll even buy you a birthday drink...:drinking1 or maybe scrounge up a sunny-d and a little bottle or two!! :) :stir: lol

I'm not going to lie... I bought the first one and realized it ws the same ones we had at home and called Scot and had him bring the other two. I am soooo bad :cool2: Whatever IDC I used them all for me anyway. hahahah Scot would stock up on the Monster energy drinks that came with the meals and the girls wanted juice so Diet Coke was MINE ALL MINE! SO you go with your bad self and brign like 5 of them haha

I have a dumb question.
I know, I know, what else is new?

But really, can someone tell me, what happens in Florida during autumn? Do the leaves change colors and then fall off? We've never been there at that time. It would seem to me to be no different since I thought it was the amount of sunlight that controls the photosyntheses and color changing and the days get short down there too.
Just wonderin'.

Nudder dumb question I can't seem to find a definitive answer to: Where do Bic lighters have to be when you get on a plane now? Can they be in your pockets? In carry-on, checked bags? I keep getting different answers on this.

Final question;
When you nuke up your leftover egg foo yung from the Chinese restaurant with the rice and brown gravy,
where in the heck does the gravy go?

Didnt mean to confuse anyone... lol

Belinda, sometimes I have had a complete riot writing parts of the trip reports, sitting here laughin, scratchin and snortin, just cracked myself up.
Then the next morning Smidgy will say, " I don't get it." Then after explaining it,,,,,, "Oh,,,,,, I see,,,,, ok,,,, right, very funny."
Actually, I thought it was funny what you did, people always think it's just HILARIOUS to get me to turn red.

Sounds like birthday drinks may be in order... :drinking1

Absolutely! What do you like in your Geritol?

yeah., Nebo will be celebrating HIS 30th, too! :rotfl2::dance3:

And what does that crack supposed to mean? Ok, ok, Omommy, I'll be 56, but I don't look a day over 55 and a half! Geesh, that's almost twice as old as you. You know, I once recently told my son I can't believe how fascinated kids are nowadays with vampires and werewolves, when I was a kid it was all about dinosaurs.
His response? "As food or pets?"

that's why Thanksgiving is at his house this year.:rotfl2:

Wow! 30 is but a distant memory for me! I know its only been 5 years but that really was a lifetime ago! :lmao:

I remember my thirtieth birthday party and trust me, it wasn't a pretty sight.

Which anniversary? :lmao:

Don't you have something to do?

and since we don't count those years inbetween, we dont' count them in our age, either!!!!:lmao:

that's a cruel thing to say to people in their 50's!!!!!:rotfl:

Opps! Nothing like putting your foot in your mouth unless you know someone is watching! :lmao: If it helps you feel better at all, it has been a rough 5 years! :rotfl2:

Are we through now? Everybody got is out of their system? Geesh!

Cool.. just celebrated mine a few days ago.. happy Bday Frank, Yeah, it'll be my luck to run into you at Magic Kingdom where they don't serve alcohol. Hope you enjoy your stay at SSR. um it is SSR isn't it? Go walk over to T Rex in DD for a birthday drink. If you haven't been there yet it's worth it just for the atmosphere, especially when the meteor shower comes.
The burgers aren't bad there either, just a bit pricey but what else is new.

Kristen, my biggest fears are that it's going to be like a couple of trips ago at Pop, a February trip that set all time records for cold.
And I was using the mug not for Coke but for hot chocolate. It got down to 26 degrees one night.

Nebo, you are cracking me up... I probably shouldn't tell you that my Mom just turned 45 should I?? Oh, opps, I guess I just did...

Oh, and for the Geritol, I am thinking Vodka or Jagermeister... :teacher:

I just gotta figure out how to get a bottle of malibu on the airplane...

Forgot to say, new chapter tomorrow night, be there or be parallelagrammed.

Nebo, you are cracking me up... I probably shouldn't tell you that my Mom just turned 45 should I?? Oh, opps, I guess I just did...
...

Ok, fine. I'm almost twice your age, and I'm 11 years older than your MOTHER!
Got any great grandparents my age that I can play with?

I am another lurker coming out of hiding. We will be in WDW the same time you are and you might hear me scream like a pre teen at a Justin Bieber concert if I see you and smidgy
yahoo.gif
.

My lovely significant other will take off flying like a bat out of.... well you know where
trickedoutwheelchair.gif
in the other direction in his wheelchair to get away from the embarrassment that is me.

You are one my favorite trip report writers and I can't wait to read more.

Ok, fine. I'm almost twice your age, and I'm 11 years older than your MOTHER!
Got any great grandparents my age that I can play with?

I do actually... But they are slightly older then you... Great Grandma is 90, grandparents are 69 and 70... :)

:guilty: Well it is now official... We are arriving on Deceber 9th... Still 1 day earlier than planned but probably not early enough to get to meet you and Smidgy :headache:

Hopefully you tinker with your plans again and decide to stay and extra day or 2... I would love to get to meet the 2 of you!

As for Discovery Cove, we decided to go against your advice and will go for a day! We are from Canada so 55 is actually warm for us! :rotfl: Hopefully it's worth the tons of extra $$$ I will have to dish out!

Can't wait for the next update!
