The directions say that 417 is a toll road. Anyone know how much the toll costs, and how many toll boths are there?

Also, would my ez pass from Delaware work if i brought itwith me to use?

We tried. It doesn't :( .

Not sure about the total cost. Maybe two or three booths. Our driver would know
:p

Taking the 417, you will have 2 tolls of $1.00 each with the possibility of one additional toll of either $0.25 or $0.50 (never go there, can't remember for sure) if you are going all the way to Exit 3. If you get off the 417 at exit 6 you just have the 2 $1.00 tolls.

Your out-of-state transponder will not work on the Florida toll roads. Heck, half the time in-state transponders won't work, lol.

I think the toll is $1.25 to $1.50 if you take 528 west to I-4 to WDW. Personal preference for the route.

$2.50 taking 417 all the way from the airport to WDW. We get off at the Celebration exit. It's two $1.00 tolls and an unmanned fifty center. Just follow the South Exit signs from the airport to jump right onto 417 south.

528 and I-4 can be very congested with traffic. Anytime I have driven 417 there was very little traffic. Nice peaceful ride. Worth the little extra in tolls.

Thanks for the info. Now I know how much change to bring with me for the tolls.

The dollar tolls have people manning the booths. The .50 one is unmanned (or is that unpersoned).

I was JUST wondering about the toll cost, etc.
I will keep this info and make sure change is avail.
Question: how does this toll booth thing work in these states.
I am from Calif. and our freeways/highways are toll free. You just fly on thru. I cannot imagine stopping ! on a freeway ! to PAY.
Is this the state's way of making money?
Just not used to it. that's all.
thx:tongue:

You drive up to the toll booth and stop and pay and then go.
These tolls pay for part of the upkeep of these roads. This area has a very high tourist impact.
