I too would like to know where to watch Hallowishes from! We were in front of the castle, up pretty close and couldn't see much more than you did. We watched the Christmas fireworks from the same spot in Dec. and it was a perfect spot so I was confused. The colors from the HM and the castle were really cool!

Good luck to Nick's team today!:thumbsup2

Good to know that you also had trouble seeing Hallowishes. I had heard that the bridge was a good spot, and it was convenient, so we tried it. We will have to wait for some more comments to see where the best spot is. I guess you have to be right smack in the middle of main street. :confused3

Thanks for the good wishes for Nick's team.. They have to win one of their two games this weekend to go into the league playoffs (that's different from what the high school is going).

Good luck on Wednesday! I think most of the fireworks are shot off right behind the castle for Hallowishes -- I could be wrong though...

You took some great evening photos yourself there MEK!! I love pictures of the castle at Night!!

I have to agree with you the storyteller at HM is amazing I could have listened to her all night!!

It's a date sister...don't have a ticker but I have a trip approved LOL!!!!! So we will definitely be meeting and taking in all that MNSSHP has to offer together LOL!!!!!

Wishing Nick good luck today!!!

I think the colors on the Castle during MNSSHP are slightly darker and spooky. :thumbsup2

I watched Hallowishes from one of the benches in front of the bridge over to Adventureland. It wasn't a perfect seat but we saw all of the fireworks.

Are you going to MVMCP in December? That is a nice parade, too.

I keep going back and forth and can't make a decision! Tom doesn't care either way, so he's no help. :sad2:

Loved your pics of the castle! Sorry you didn't get a good view of the fireworks.

They must be directly behind the castle, because there was no side view at all. I was disappointed, but I'll know better for next year.

Thanks. I love all the different colors. So great!

She was totally cool. I wish her voice would follow you throughout the ride. It was a nice touch!

An Approved Trip! :rotfl2: I like that. I guess its just a matter of deciding the dates. I just hope that free dining extends into the start of F&W, because I would like to book free dining again and upgrade to the DxDP. That just seems like the most economical way for me to do the trip. If that doesn't happen, then I will try to stay DVC. I would love to do a split stay, but its gonna have to be a quick trip for me so its not worth spliting. Anyway - a quick trip is better than no trip and I will need it by late Sept/early October!!!!!!!

Wishing Nick good luck today!!!

Nick's team won today! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: So that should put them in the playoffs next weekend. Even if they lose tomorrow, they should still make it. Tomorrow's team is in first place. They have won all their games.

.

There's definately something different about the colors. There is just an eeriness to them....definately more spooky.

I wasn't too far from that spot, so maybe if I had shift to the right a bit I would have gotten a better view. :confused3

That's how I was last year. I couldn't decide what to do, but plenty of people on the boards encouraged me to go. I am definately glad I went, although I went on a sold out night and it was really crowded. Both parades were packed. I did see the Christmas show - Twas the Night Before Christmas- and that was very good.

Denny and I didn't decide until we got down then. Then we called and ordered the tickets and picked them up at Will Call. I will always do that instead of prepaying.

Anyway - good luck with your decision!!!!

Loved your pics of the castle! Sorry you didn't get a good view of the fireworks.

Thanks - glad you enjoyed the castle (sans fireworks) pictures!

I think you need a do over on Hallowishes too! I wish I could get away at the beginning of Oct. but the end of October will have to do for me....
You got some awesome pix of the castle!

I had a bad spot for Hallowishes too...we were actually walking out of HM when we heard them start and didn't have too much of a choice but to head over by the Carousel....it was okay...we saw a lot in the sky but nothing by the Castle. A friend of mine from here has amazing pictures and he has the Castle in it so I will have to take another look and see where he was standing.

Love the soccer picture (and the men!)

I love the castle pictures, even without the fireworks!

You definitely need a do-over!

Ooohhh better candy!

Awwww, I'm sorry you didn't get a good view of HalloWishes!! Keep an eye out in my TR, you may get to see them again :rolleyes1

The fireworks shoot from on top of the buildings in Fantasyland and the area right behind Pinchoccios. I know this because we had a really cool fantasyland Wishes experience during our trip.

You definitely need a redo!!!

Hi! I have been following along on your TR and just wanted to say how much I am enjoying it.

My husband and I usually go to F&W in October, but next year we are actually going the last week in September. Do you think the weather is that much different? I am more worried about the rain than the heat. We have no kids of our own, but will be vacationing with my family, including 2 nephews who will be 10 and 2. They have never been to FL so I wanted to prepare them. :lmao:

Congrats on your son's soccer team. Best of luck to him next week.

Caught up again.... :thumbsup2

I had no idea you can see the Welcome sign from the Pop! I'll be looking for that for sure. Very cool.

I enjoyed all the parade pics and I thought that was a pretty good headless horseman shot. I too think its the best parade I've seen. Love the grave diggers with their shovels! Jack Sparrow's fun too. ;)

Congrats to Brian and his team and good luck! What a shocker pic, that was fabulous!

Yep, you definately need a re-do on Hallowishes but the castle pics are great.

I love an excuse for a do over, so I'll take it! Thanks for the compliment on the castle pics!

Does your friend have a TR or did he post his pics anywhere. I really want to see some good fireworks pics. Then again....Maybe I don't because it will just get me depressed! :lmao:

Love the soccer picture (and the men!)

I know - its like looking at multiple David Beckhams, and we all know how easy he is on the eyes!

I love the castle pictures, even without the fireworks!

Thanks!

You definitely need a do-over!

So, I've been told!

Ooohhh better candy!

;) (I actually brought my candy home to Nicholas - he enjoyed it!)

OK, rub it in! No......seriously, I am looking forward to seeing some great firework pictures!

Fantasyland Wishes Experience?????? Do Tell! popcorn::

You definitely need a redo!!!

Arrrrrggggghhhhhhhhh!

pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: Welcome Tickanee! Thanks for joining in! I so glad you are enjoying my TR!

I have never been to the World in late October, so I don't know how much of a difference 4 weeks or so would make. I do know it was VERY hot when we were there, but supposedly it was hotter than usual. We did not have very much rain at all. I suppose its possible to get more than we did. I know its the end of hurricane season. It's subtropical, so generally it will rain briefly and then stop.

Even though it was hot, I really thought it was a great week to go in terms of crowds. My motto is....I can stand heat....I can stand crowds. BUT I CAN'T STAND THE HEAT AND CROWDS TOGETHER! One or the other. That's why I've decided not to return in the summer unless my kids absolutely beg me to go.

Congrats on your son's soccer team. Best of luck to him next week.

Thank you. I will pass on your well wishes!

It was cool. I just wish those darn trees hadn't grown so much! :rotfl:

Thanks for the well wishes for Brian!

Double Arrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh!

Ok....here is my do over.....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYAUvmsfJMw

It will have to do until next year.

I knew I was missing the fireworks, but I didn't move for several reasons:

1. I really did not want to get in someone's way at the last minute (biggest reason for not moving)

2. I knew I wasn't going to get good pictures, so why bother. :confused3

3. I was comfortable in that spot. ;)

4. I was just too freaking lazy.

OK - I admit - these are all lame excuses, but its how I felt at the time! So, if you have any Hallowishes pictures that you'd like to post here, please feel free! :worship::worship::worship:

My redo for you maybe more along the lines of this redo :rolleyes1 Just saying...

Hmmm, give me a little bit of time to go through my pics from Halloween 06 and see what I come up with. I have them all in my webshots account! I came onto the computer to look up a recipe for something and found myself dising :confused3 Wanna take bets on if I'll remember to look up the recipe before I get of the computer :rotfl2:

Oh I wish I did! I took video of Hallowishes on one of our trips but had a malfunction of epic proportions and lost it. I need a do-over too!

OMG - you really DO need a do over. I would be pretty upset if that happened. :flower3: At least I never had the pictures to begin with.

That's cute about Nicholas!

Ugh I worry about this summer, not much to be done about it though, ether heat and crowds...or don't go at all.

I've been the 1st week of Nov. It was not hot at all. Not cold either but just pleasant.
