From Kick'n It at Kidani to Play'n It at Pop adults only p62/63 last thoughts&request

I really love your TR's. I followed the other (I cant remember if i ever posted), and I am really loving this one as well!

Another great day! It was too cute with the little boy! The first time we stayed at POP our room was right where you were taking that picture of the welcome sign. We got to see it every time we went in or out of our room! That was soooo nice! The next part is what I am most excited for...MNSSHP!!!!! I can't wat to see the pix and hear all about it!!!!!

How soon to your trip????? Are you requesting the 80's? I like that area. Actually, I like all the areas. I hope you do a TR so I can see your pics.

We arrive December 10, so only 35 days!!! I'm planning on doing a trip report, just hope I can come up with a good title...:confused3

For Dinner I had the Tuna Oscar. This was really, really good. I loved how the tuna was perfectly encrusted on the exterior and most and juicy on the inside. I have never eaten tuna like this because I have a thing about food being cooked properly. But I took my chances and it proved to be a good decision.

These were my EXACT feelings about this dish! I had a feeling I would like it but it was a real diversion from my normal food comfort zone. I'm SO glad I gave it a try because I thought it was the best meal I had (It would tie with the filet at LeCellier I'm sure if I had subbed potatoes for the risotto)

Hubby had the crab cakes there and actually gave me one, it was very good! I skipped appetizers to splurge on the Lapu Lapu -- yummy!!!

I'm dying to see your "in the know" picture but I am subbing today and only half of the pictures are appearing so I will have to wait until tonight to see it.

Your ADR's look good!

(oh, and I scored the same as Shocker on the nerd test)

pixiedust:Welcome Disneymoon! I am happy to have you following along! Glad you are enjoying the TR (that is taking me forever to write LOL)

I see you have a Disneymoon in the very near future. Congratulations......that is so exciting!!!!!!!!

That little boy was a sweetie!

Sounds like you stayed exactly where I wanted to stay at POP. I would have loved coming out the door and seeing the Welcome sign, plus that Rubic
's cube is really the best icon there, IMHO.

I am going to try to start MNSSHP tonight.

Oh, that's about the time we went last year. It was really great in the parks. More crowded then September, but PERFECT weather.

While you are there start thinking about a title. That's what I did. I kept rolling around ideas in my head. I'm sure you'll come up with something creative!

I think you're right - it was pretty close to the filet at LeCellier. I would say the LC Filet and the FF scallops are my top two meals. But that Tuna Oscar comes mighty close. Yum!

OK....so you are another Dis'er who knew how great the crab cakes were. Oh well, next time! Lapu Lapu - yum!

I hate that - but it's still more than I can see at work! :rotfl:

Thanks! And as I recall Shocker was one of the least nerdiest of all of us! I think Wigd is right. I think he knew how to trick the test because he really is a super nerd!

I just found out today that my coworker (who is also a Diser) is NOT going to be using her SSR reservation is December. It is a 1 BR at SSR from 12/6 - 12/12. That's a Sunday check-in and a Saturday departure. She has to cancel the reservation very soon if she doesn't rent it.

So, if anyone wants a spur of the moment DVC reservation from a reputable source, pm me pronto and I will have her contact you. This is definately a limited time offer, so ACT now.

She has it posted on the DVC boards, but I don't know her screen name because she doesn't dis nearly as much as I do. Anyway, she doesn't have the spare cash for this trip, so she'd like to make a little cash to help pay for a future trip.

And believe me, don't think I didn't already entertain the thought of an impromptu trip! :rotfl:

Brian's soccer team finished their season yesterday with a 2 to 0 win. They think they will be ranked #3 in the state (remember this is a really small state so its not that impressive). They should find out soon. The state tournament first round games are next Wednesday and Thursday. I think they had two loses and the rest were wins.
Here is a statistic to be proud of .....their defense had the least amount of goald scored on them out of all the teams. They only had 6 goals scored on them and one was a PK. The other was an off-sides goal that the ref didn't call. It was so obvious, even to me, and if I noticed it as off sides, then it was pretty blatant. I mention this because Brian played center defender most of the season. He usually plays midfield, but got placed as a defender because he is very physical.

So that's my news. I'll let you know how they do in the first round.

I know you have been patiently waiting for this update. I will probably need to break it into several updates, because I took a boat load of pictures.

When DH and I arrived on Main Street we had a blast just taking in the different costumes. DH refused to wear a costume, so I wasn't going in full costume by myself. I wanted to be a pirate, and I found some cute girl's pirate costumes online, but I was going it alone.

It was a perfect night for a party. Even the halloween decorations looked more festive as the sun started to set.

Even the balloons matched the occasion:

I like the CM garb for the Halloween party. It's sort of ald fashioned, but still exhibits great theming:

I want to post a picture of myself, but I look pretty lame in my pic in front of the castle. I will tell you that I did wear this fun tie that I bought at the dollar store. It had a mummy on it and when you pressed a button it made an eerie sound. Unfortunately, the sound was so quiet that it could not be heard during the party. Still, I enjoyed my tie. It was fun. At least it was entertaining me!

Ok....Are you ready to endure some castle pics??????? Well, are you? Because I have about two hundred. Ok, maybe not that many, but close....

We wandered past the castle and into Sleepy Hollow. There we found these:

This next picture.....well, I guess I just couldn't help myself. .....

So do you think that artwork is real or henna? uhhhmm.....my vote is real! I know those piercings look pretty darn real.

Keeping right in with the theme.......
Sept2009-Disney1019.jpg

These guys were good. Too bad we only caught the tail end of their last song.

Our next stop.......

Sept2009-Disney1021.jpg

No line, no wait, perfect weather, stayed dry. What more can you ask for?

Sept2009-Disney1022.jpg

I really can't remember if we rode it once or twice. I have a feeling we went back for a repeat! Then we headed to the wildest ride in the west.

We tried to take photos in here and on the ride (at least I did), but the results were not all that favorable. See what I mean......

Sept2009-Disney1029.jpg

Whose hands are those anyway? They can't be mine. I am holding the camera, I think! LOL

Weeeeeeeeeeeee.........

This ride is such a blast at night, that I'm sure we put the camera away and rode it a second time "hands - free". Seriously, I have never walked right on BTM that quickly. This was a real, true walk-on, meaning there was not one pause in our stride. How fun is that?

By now it was time to line up for the first parade. We literally found a spot right along the rope about 10 minutes before the parade started. I had fun photographing the people standing across from us who really were in costume.

How cute are these total strangers ?.....

So are you wondering if I was able to photograph the headless horseman. Well, I tried.....I really tried....but this is all I got.....

Sept2009-Disney1039.jpg

OMG.....even I can't see what I got because my pics are not loading right on my preview screen, so here goes....I am going to post now and continue the parade in the next post.

There he is again.....well, almost. As I write this I think of Paula's (I Luv Crush's) headless horseman and parade pictures from last year. They were so perfect. I wish she would stop by and grace me with a picture, but alas, she is getting ready to go away again so I doubt she will even see this post.

Sept2009-Disney1040.jpg

Now, I just figured the parade started right after the headless horseman, but that is not the case. I felt like we waited a good 5 minutes for the parade to start. There was nothing to photograph but this.....

Sept2009-Disney1043.jpg

Boring....ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ........

And then......Finally......the parade. I gotta tell you, I am anxious to see these pictures because I have really only seen them through the view finder and in thumbnail shots.

Sept2009-Disney1049.jpg

(I took about 6 photos of this same shot, but I think this one is the best)

These pictures..... I think they are multiplying.....

So......What did I think of this parade??????? Well, in one word......Fantabulous!!!!!!! This parade was such a blast. It was such a contrast of the spooky, eerie characters that represent Halloween so perfectly and the characters that make Disney the place we know and love. I have heard that this is the best parade, evar' and.....I think I must agree. My enjoyment was definately enhanced by the fact that the parade root was not overly crowded. Simply, a perfect time of year to experience MNSSHP first hand.

Up Next....More MNSSHP

Have you ever been? I am really glad I went. Seeing the pics made me remember what a cool parade it is. And, I even like most of the pics I posted, which is shocking. I hate most of my MVMCP pics.

I agree that the Halloween parade is the best Disney parade!

Totally the best! I really loved all the Halloween features. So perfect! And that headless horseman....how isTHAT done??????

Thanks for the soccer congrats.

How many times did you say you went to the party???? 3X?????? Yup, the whole halloween package is so great! I would love to be in MK every evening with all the decorations and lighting.

And, I can't wait for next year because that is definately a "must do".:thumbsup2

Your MNSSHP pictures are great! I love them all. I also think that the first party of the year that I went too last year...didn't have as much stuff out. Hmmm. I'm going to have to make sure the next MNSSHP I go too is a later party date!

Wow you weren't kidding when you said you took a whack of pictures. Great job!

Congrats to your soccer star!

Wish I could snap up that SSR ressie. I let myself dream for a moment about it.
