From glum to sun in a few short hours..

I've been in a bit of a funk since May when we got back from 2 weeks at POR, knowing we didn't have any definite plans to go back (beyond "we'll go when Star Wars Land is open", that is).

I'd been a bunch of times, but it was Max's first time, and he loved it. He only agreed to go because he knew I wanted to, so I was over the moon when he started saying things like "next time we come, we should do this, or stay here" as we wandered around..

So imagine how chuffed I was to get a cracking deal on 2 weeks at Animal Kingdom Lodge in Sept '18, the hotel both of us fell in love with..

So now I've gone from being miserable to having a spring in my step again..

I'm only splurging it all out here because I've not told Max, and don't intend to until next summer.. Whether I'll be able to keep it a secret that long remains to be seen!

It's 14 nights in a Standard room at AKL, with free DDP, 14 day tickets, and it was a shade under £3300 (not including flights). I paid almost exactly the same for two weeks in POR..

It was just on the Disney holidays UK site. Most dates were regular prices, but I think the 4th-6th were noticeably cheaper.

Thanks. Yeah that's good. We're paying about the same for 8 nights at grand floridian this year without dining. I love animal kingdom lodge too. We don't drive when we are there though so being close to parks is important. But at that price I'd go for it I think.
