From French Quarter to Kona Cafe

Just wondering the best route for an early breakfast at Kona, then spending the day at Magic Kingdom. Would it be better to just take the bus from French Quarter to MK, then monorail to the Poly for Kona, or would it be better to take a bus to Epcot then monorail to Poly. Or does it not matter as far as the time to get their vs the more enjoyable route?

The bus to MK is a much better option than the bus to Epcot.

I would bus to MK, then boat to Poly. I'd take the boat because it only stops at GF before going to Poly, while the monorail stops at CR and the TTC before finally going to Poly. Also, the boat is a nicer trip than the monorail, IMO.

After Kona, I'd get on the monorail to MK. It only stops at GF before MK. The Poly monorail station is literally just steps from Kona.

This way, you get to ride the boat and the monorail, and in the most efficient way.

If you were going to MK or CR, I would say definitely take the bus to MK.

But since you're going to Poly, I think they'd be about the same, if you'd like to walk from TTC to Poly.

Be aware, though, that the Epcot Monorail opens at 8 a.m. on days when Epcot opens at 9.

But the boats start 30 minutes before MK opening, so they are not an option if it is truly an early breakfast.

Anyhow, the boat dock for GF/Poly is right at the Resort Monorail entrance, so once you're at MK, you can easily see whether they are open and continue up the ramp to the monorail if not.
