From DVC to DCL

Just the two of us so we take DCL transportation. The only problem with that is that they will usually deliver you pretty late (around 12:30-2pm) to the port, so if you wanted to be in the early boarding groups, that's not going to happen - you need to take a cab, limo, or rent a car to be in an early group.

On the plus side, the ship will NEVER leave without you if you are on Disney Transportation.

When you take Disney transportation they let you off where there's a much shorter line. There ARE reasons to take it, it's a choice.

We are staying the night before at the Hyatt. We wil catch Disney transportation by 9:30. SHould be on the boat by 12:30-1:00p. If your getting picked up at a DIsney resort, they arrive the latest to the ship.

In the UK if you take a cruise (and often a lot cheaper than the Disney ones) they transport you to the port (can be hundreds of miles) from your home or near your home, gratis.

We're a family of five...we did Disney transport from WL to Port and back at end of cruise...next time we will hire a car! One of the later arrivals to embark on ship.

If you are only two people it is a little more to get a private car to take you, about even for a one way rental. But, more than 2 it becomes worth it to book a car/taxi. You can pick your time and sometimes even make a stop.
