From Corn Dog Nuggets to Boeuf Bourguignon ~ And everywhere in between! F&W 2013!

Awesome! Thanks for reading along! I think you will have a great time. While on my girls trip, I definitely missed my family, it was the first time I had been away from my kids overnight....it was such a great recharge vacation! :thumbsup2

I am sure that I will miss my two kids too next year when I am on the trip. I haven't been away from my 9 year old ever. The last time I went on a girls' trip was when my son who is 14 now was 3 years old. I am sure it will feel weird being at DW without my husband and kiddos. Hopefully, some drinks around the world with help that feeling a little.

Know what you mean w the lobster. Lol

It is so cheap here now. Cheaper than steak. It is on my list even though I have it a lot at home.

And I do have that kalhua coffee drink on my list too. I do love kalhua!!

:rotfl2:

Im not huge on veggies either.....my preferences are spinach, broccoli and corn. I do love collard greens though so that's always a nice treat because you can't get those everywhere. :goodvibes

One time at 50's our waiter was super nice and no antics. This time, our waiter was more into his "role"....I had actually left some of the chicken behind....he picked up my fork and fed it to me....:rolleyes1

If we go to 50's I plan on asking for a low key server this time. See I love veggies especially beans which makes no sense since we ate beans a lot, growing up poor well I guess in a way beans and veggies are comfort foods for me :goodvibes

That's great to hear!!! I am sure you had a blast!!

YUM!!

The second pic even looks yummier!! Too bad you and BFF weren't sharing the dish!

:rotfl:Same reason Brian won't return, he snuck me his veggies to not get yelled at:rolleyes:

Jeanette too funny I may have to do that with Bob, I ate his asparagus last year at BOG, he was like "Get it off my plate" :rotfl2:

Candace the lobster does look good, back when I could drink my Sunday treat us to be a little kahlua in my coffee :)

Oh, didn't realise you could sub out different alcohols. Good to know!

Yup, I saw the bottle of Bailey's back there and just asked if I could have that instead. It was no problem. :goodvibes

The drinks should help! :rotfl2:

The coffee part made me feel better about consuming alcohol before noon. :rotfl2:

I do wonder what it would have tasted like with the Kahlua, but it would have probably been too strong. Bailey's is nice and smoooooth....:cool1:

The create-your-own pasta dish looks amazing! Huge, but amazing!

The tiny lobster looks delectable as well. As does the drink.

Thanks so much for taking the time to post all these yummy meals - it's neat to see some things that are a little out of the ordinary. :thumbsup2

Love your reviews, Mousemommy! We were there the same time as you- wasn't the weather wonderful? The bus service was great, too! I love FQ!!

The Food & Wine Festival definitely provides an opportunity to try a lot of different items! What a blast! :goodvibes

Thank you!!

The weather was absolutely perfect!!! The only rain we saw was our 1st night and we were at DTD and it was only for a few minutes.

The buses were great! Literally the best bus experience I have had at Disney! :thumbsup2

I hope to get a few more reviews up tonight after work!

So, ever since the waffle sandwiches at Sleepy Hollow in MK came out, I have wanted to try them....and in my past trips I haven't been able to get one. Either I would be too full, or I was there at the wrong time (only served from 11-5). Well, I made it my mission to get the chicken waffle sandwich. It really is a beauty....

But....I have to say I was a little disappointed in this. The chicken was really crispy which was good and whatever sauce is on it is good but not enough? The cole slaw wasn't the greatest and was flowing out of the waffle. If the waffle was a little crunchier on the outside I think it would have worked better but eventually the cole slaw just fell out of the bottom. :sad1:

It was ok. It's a been there, done that, don't need to do it again. I guess my expectations were too high. :confused3

Sorry to hear that about the waffle. I have had the same issue w wrong time wrong place w trying it too. My sister tried the b- fast one w Nutella and fruit. She said it was good!
I think I may try it this time anyway if the timing works out. ;)
4 days left!!! :)

On to France!!! I got the Boeuf Bourguignon (which is fancy frenchness for braised short ribs) ;)

It had a Cabernet sauce and was served over mashed potatoes. The meat was very tender and tasty. The potatoes were..potatoes... This was a hearty little snack and I felt pretty full after this plate. It was good, but nothing that you couldn't get at any restaurant.

In my opinion, the crowned jewel of the France pavilion was the Eiffel Sour Cosmo Slush!!!!

Yum, yum, yum!!!! It was hot outside, this was slush...it was perfect!!! :goodvibes. I highly recommend this one!

Oh, I don't think they had that particular slush at the F&WF that I got to do years ago. YUM!!!

Sorry the other two items didn't quite measure up. :(

Me either Roni!!! It sounds YUMMY:cloud9:

MM - love your reviews! Other than the empanada (which I loved), I think we tried all different things! I commend you for getting all of these photos because it was difficult when juggling plates, glasses, etc. :thumbsup2 I got a few but definitely not of everything!

I am so glad to see that the Eiffel Sour Cosmos Slush is there again. I had one a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it (although it does turn your mouth a rather odd shade of scarlet).

Candace is too busy RCing to update????;)

All good, I would've been waaaayyyy behind

Hi,

Joining in!!! Whoot! I am now HUNGRY!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

It was much easier to get the pics since I didn't have the kids hanging on me. :rotfl:
I really wanted to buy one of those tray thingies that they had, that holds the wine and the food - did you see those? So cute! :p

Maybe they changed the dye - I don't think my mouth was red after it, but maybe after drinking it, I just didn't care. :lmao:

I have been neglectful - For Shame! :lmao:

Nice choice! Your trip is only 4 days away - how exciting!!! I can't wait to hear a review from you once you get back!!! About BC CL and F & W!!! :cheer2:

I am at work right now, but tonight I will try to post some more reviews!!! Thanks for reading along everyone! :grouphug:

We got back Tuesday night. It was crazy busy!!! More so at night so we did the booths Monday for lunch (right at 11:00).

My favorites were the lamb chop (Australia), and pierogi & kielbasa (Poland) and the frozen apple pie drink (Poland)

It was fun!! My boys loved the waffles (Belgium)!!!
