Weather: 66 degrees and sunny!

I decided to go to Downtown Disney (yet again!) in order to get some exercise. I wanted to walk from the West Side to Marketplace to and all around Saratoga Springs Resort.

Here are some photos from my walk!

This is my favorite picture that I have ever taken!:lovestruc

I had to go to Walmart to get a few things, and afterwards I went back home for my roommate's dance movie marathon party. It was a nice time for sure! Tomorrow is my onboarding appointment with Disney at 10:30am... getting closer to Traditions!!!

Current weather: 61 degrees with clear blue skies!

Today I had my Onboarding appointment with Disney! My appointment was at 10:30 am. It takes place at the Casting Center (the same place that I had my interview). I basically just filled out some additional paperwork and got my picture taken for my CAST ID!!! :cheer2:

The woman who helped me was so kind! She was like oh my goodness you are so photogenic, such a great picture! (I hope she wasn't just being nice, but I will see it in just 5 more days!!). It was a pretty quick process, took about an hour, and it was exciting!

I decided afterwards I would stop by the Orlando Premium Outlets to grab some lunch and look at the Disney Outlet Store.

I found this great coffee cup for 5$ and couldn't resist!

Tonight I plan on meeting up with a fellow Disboarder and go tour the Art of Animation resort, so I figure I'll put that in a separate post.

Hope you all have a magical day! pixiedust:

Boy, you sure are filling your days even without going to the parks. Thanks for keeping us updated.

I am on cloud nine right now you guys! I mean I am in Disney World, I am spending time with AMAZING people, and tomorrow I get to go to an actual FACE CHARACTER AUDITION! The audition is casting primarily for Alice, Tinkerbell, and Wendy, so the likely hood that I will actually be chosen isn't that great, but I am going with my roommate and it will be awesome to just experience it and to cross it off of my bucket list! I will definitely want to go back when they are holding auditions for the other princesses but this is so EXCITING!! :cheer2:

So after my little outlet mall excursion I met up with my awesome Disboard friend and we went to tour the Art of Animation Resort. Here are some pictures!

The theme of this resort is just incredible! I am hoping that when my family visits I can get them into one of these rooms! (So naturally I can stay with them ;) )

After our tour of AOA we headed over to the Boardwalk. Another absolutely stunning resort.

We were lucky enough to catch some of Illuminations, and it was just breath taking!

I had a great time exploring the resorts and just chatting with him!

After we hung out I headed home and my roommate Gabi was up so we started talking and then Colleen came and joined us and we had some roommate bonding! We drank some wine, created a roommate bucket list, and Gabi asked me to go to the face character audition with her!!!

I am just so happy with life right now, and I can't wait to see what happens next!

Loving all your pictures! I've been lurking, but coming out of the woodwork, because DH just applied to the PI program and a "real" job at Disney! So we are going to be moving down to Orlando soon! I am so excited, and I need to make my bucket list.

Good luck in your audition tomorrow!

Wow, the Art of Animation resort looks awesome and worth going just to see it!! So fun that you are going to the character auditions! I look forward to hearing about what that's like!

I'm loving all your photos! It seems like you're having a great time. I mean, why wouldn't you be, you're living at Disney! Good luck on your audition! I can't wait to hear all about your experience!

AOA was absolutely amazing, definitely a must see!

Where did you see the crowns ? Do you know how much they were?

They were at the Arribas Brother's Shop at Downtown Disney, I didn't look at the price tag though, but next time I'm there I'll take a peak!

Glad you are liking the photos!!!

Today was a pretty laid back day, I just lazed around the house until Gabi and I headed out for the audition at around 3:00pm. The place where they were holding the auditions were very close by which was nice!

There were over 200 people there to audition and it was a very easy process. You just gave your name and they gave you a number and we sat down and waited until 4:00 pm when the auditions started. The one we went to was for Face Character Look-A-Likes.

For anyone thinking of auditioning for this, I would recommend wearing workout attire or something that shows off your body shape (think yoga pants) so they can get a true picture of your silhouette. You shouldn't wear flip-flops, and just be neat and tidy with modest makeup! You don't need a headshot or a resume (you can bring one but they don't take them until after the first couple of rounds).

They broke it down into groups of 50. Once we got into the room the casting director looked at each person's front profile and side profile for about 5 seconds and did that for every person in the room. The casting director was very nice, and said that it was important to remember that they are casting for people who fit very specific requirements, and that everyone is beautiful! pixiedust:

At the end of the casting director looking at everyone, he called out 4 numbers and the rest of us were out of the running.

I wasn't expecting to get anything, just the experience, so it was awesome to see! And once they hold auditions for Princesses I'll be sure to try out again!

After the auditions I called my dad for a little bit and went to Target to pick up some running shoes. I am looking forward to starting running again!

Tomorrow I plan on possibly going to Downtown Disney to splurge and get a sandwich from Earls for lunch. Later on I am going to a video arcade bar with my disboards friend! Should be a fun day :upsidedow

Only 5 more days until Traditions!

Not much of a poster, but your trip report is very interesting and enjoyable. Thank you for sharing your experience of working and living at Disney. Truly, a dream come true for anyone who loves all things Disney !

Hi Robin!!! I'm doing the DCP this semester so I'm in Disney World too!! I'm really excited to be reading about your professional internship!! I'm working Merchandise at All Stars, I moved in on the 12th so I've been here for a bit! I'd love to meet up with you sometime! It's so crazy that we're living in the same little bubble! Loving your TR so far!

Also, how did your roommate find out about auditions?! My roommates and I have been looking for them because we really want to go and see what the audition process is like! We've been here for a few weeks and we've been poking around looking for them and can't seem to find them!

Can't wait to read more and hear from you soon!

Hi Grace!

I'm actually a full-time cast member for Disney, not doing the Professional Internship.

I'd love to meet up with you too! You should add me on Facebook!

You can find auditions on the disneyauditions.com website, I am going to another one on February 5th!

Those auditions sound interesting. I like that the casting person said "you are all beautiful" as I can imagine that is not something people in that business generally get to say!! Only at Disney :)) Magic! I'm not sure what you are talking about when you say "Traditions" but I'm sure it's some wonderful Disney event to do with starting your new job :)

Joining in! First off, want to say congratulations - not only for getting the job but for having the guts and strength to go for it!

That's cool that while you are there you can go on those character auditions - be funny/cool if you got one and had to tell you manager you were switching roles before you even started

BTW - since you said you love margaritas and will be working in EPCOT I fully expect you to spend lots of time at The Ditch (a.k.a. La Cava) as they have some of the best margaritas I have ever had
