Thank you so much!! Hope to see you in September!! :wizard:

Just found you and following along. Looking forward to the journey.

The Yacht and Beach Club was my resort of choice for tonight's touring. It was such a beautiful evening.

Walking around this resort just brought tears to my eyes because I can just feel the magic everywhere. I just had such a feeling that something absolutely wonderful is going to happen for me.

From the Beach Club I walked over to The Boardwalk and peaked in their General Store and saw these cute wines/champagne that I had never seen before!

I wrapped up my touring at that point to head over to Animal Kingdom Lodge to meet up with a fellow Disboard user.

We decided to try Victoria Falls which is an amazing little spot that overlooks Boma.

I decided to try one of their "Signature Cocktails" since it was my first legal Disney drink! I went with the Mt. Kilimarita and it was delicious! *I love margaritas!

A view of the lounge.

The Drink Itself

After awhile we decided to grab something to eat from The Mara and I ordered the kid's meal turkey sandwich that came with apples and a cookie. Everything was just okay, but you can't beat the price!

I had a great time talking with and getting to know him and look forward to seeing him again soon! :goodvibes

Tomorrow's plan is some fun at Splitsville with a friend of mine that I met during my first program! So be ready for some more DTD and Port Orleans Riverside pictures!

Following along, very happy for you, hope you really like your new job and Disney time! My daughter 15 and I love Splitsville, we go each trip, bowl and indulge in the loaded fries! So good. Have fun.

Hiya everyone!

Today has just been a beautiful day. Every second I am in Orlando I feel so happy and grateful for this opportunity. I have caught myself welling up with tears of joy multiple times today. I am surrounded by so much beauty here, and I just feel the magic radiating everywhere. Dreams really do come true, and I know because I am finally living mine!

It was a wonderful 68 degrees today with clear blue skies! I met up with my friend Gerardo from my 2011 program and we had a blast catching up and hanging out! I met him around 1:30pm to go see Paddington at the AMC at Downtown Disney. After the movie we walked around for a bit and decided to go to Steak and Shake for a cheap bite to eat.

Some photos from Downtown Disney!

After we said goodbye I headed over to Port Orleans Riverside/French Quarter (BECAUSE I CAN!) and just walked around and took some pictures.

I would love all of these...

Oh, to be young again..........

Keep enjoying every day down there, whether its a great one or a not so good one! It's wonderful to have the freedom to follow your dreams!!! :cloud9:

Your report is the first time I will follow along "as it happens" :)
Looking forward to your updates :thumbsup2

I loved your "because I can" comment as well. It will be so nice for you to be able to explore all around Disney without the time pressure that most of us have while on vacation to try to see and do it all in a short period of time. You can really take in every detail and know that you'll be back if you miss things. Sigh. Oh well, at least I can follow along with you and hopefully see some of the highlights when I make it back there!

This reminds me of when I was 20. I needed a change in my life so I said goodbye to my friends, sold off most of my possessions, threw what was left in the back of my pickup, and moved to Orlando. I didn't know a soul within 500 miles but I did it anyway. I got a job working at DTD in the parking lots and I made some of my greatest and most cherished memories down there. I can related to how you said you would well up with tears realizing your dream came true. I wish you the same good fortune! Good luck!

It really is so nice to have the luxury of just slowing down and taking your time, and just soaking everything in. I hope you get to come and visit soon, but for now I'm glad to have you along for the ride!

Hey everyone! :wave2:

Today was another gorgeous day in the Wonderful World of Disney! It was a little windy but 66 degrees and clear blue skies is nothing to complain about (especially with all of these snow storms hitting other parts of the country!)

Today I decided to go to Downtown Disney in order to catch a resort bus to the Contemporary. From there I took the monorail to the Polynesian, and from the Poly I took the ferry to Magic Kingdom where I hopped on a bus to POP! Century. I got quite a few resort tours checked off of my list, and I am well on my way to seeing them all! I decided to come home and do this update before I headed out to the Alumi/CP meet and greet at Ohana's in a little bit!

So because my Traditions class isn't until February 3rd I will not have my park access until then (in case you all were wondering why my booty wasn't all over those parks!) So in the mean time I want to see all of the resorts that I possibly can :)

Okay so tonight at 9:30pm we I had a CP Alumni/New CP meetup at the Polynesian that I figured I would go to! It was actually a lot of fun, I was pretty nervous since I didn't know anyone, but everyone was very nice! Our table all got along really well and everyone exchanged numbers. I went to Chatham after the dinner with a few of them and we played some board games. It was just nice meeting new friends!

Poly lobby looks nice :) I've seen a few photos since the refurb but I like your shot.

So which resorts had you been to before going down this time?

Glad you like the shot!

That's a great question! I'll go ahead and make a resort list and the one's in BOLD I have stayed at, and the ones in italic I have toured and the rest are what I still have to do!
