From AKL to YC ?

My husband and I are going to be going to WDW Nov15-22.
We are now going to stay at the AKL for the first two nights and then over to the YC.
I have heard that you can have your bags taken over but would it be better for us to go over there first thing in the morning to check in so that we can get a better shot at a good room location?
What do all of you do?

We usually go over and get a room then head EPCOT. Then we come back later in the day to get into our room and have our luggage delivered.

Do you think it is better to have them deliver your bags or to take them there yourself?

If you have a car do it yourself. If you're taking Disney transportation it is certainly easier to have them do it. However, it could show up as late as 5pm so if you want to use the pool - pack a day bag.
