Trying to find information on these. Did a search and some old things came up, but wanted to know if anyone is really using them. One person said they don't work in FL humidity. Anyone know? Also, any problems with smell, slimy material and allergic reactions. They seem rather large to wear around, can you cut them?

We've used them for our kids sporting events. We'll keep them in the cooler with drinks. We don't have a problem with the smell, we'll run them through the washer every so often.

We have not tried cutting them.

We don't use them "long term" (ie: walking abound a park), but I guess you could as long as you keep rewetting them.

We have not used these but we go to WDW almost every summer. To beat the heat we like to use the spray fans that Disney sells. You can refill it by asking for free ice or ice water in a cup at any place that sells fountain drinks. We also take frequent breaks in air conditioned shops or rides. Of course drink LOTS of fluids as well! Have fun!

No problem with smells, slimy or allergic reactions. (I react to EVERYTHING LOL). I LOVE mine!!!! I use it all the time in the parks. I wet it in the morning before I head out and but it in a ziplock in my bag. I use it around my neck for shows, and to cool down while walking around. I don't leave it on all the time.

I would think you could cut it, but I have not yet. I throw it in the washer and hang to dry(it dries like cardboard so I stand it up in the closet until I need it again).

we have used them on our last 2 September trips and love them. We did have a problem with a smelly one so we threw it away and cut a different one in half. We usually just go into the bathroom and rinse them out every so often with hot water then with cold water to get them nice and cool again. They are big so I would suggest cutting them in half or possibly smaller for little ones.

Good info. I just bought one for our August trip! :thumbsup2 Found a smaller one at Bed Bath & Beyond for 12.99.

Sounds pretty good. They have them at Dick's Sporting Goods so maybe I'll get one and have DH wear it while mowing the lawn to test it before getting them everyone.

We use them every summer. We keep ours in a ziplock bag and take them out as needed. The kids love using the, as we are waiting in line or they sit with their back against them in the stroller. They have worked out well. We wash our every so often. Haven't noticed any smells.

I bought a bunch of them last year when one of the Golf websites was clearancing them. I got them for about $3-4 each , if I recall.

We used them in the parks last year, and I thought they worked really well. They are a little large, but we never attempted to cut them.

They do dry like cardboard, but DH usually washes them and then folds them to desired size and then leaves them outside in the sun to dry.
