Friendships Docked till Mid March???

I always take the bus from Pop to HS,,,and then catch the Friendship there to the Back Door at Epcot.....
It just seems like a nicer "ride" than all bussing.....and saves me the walk back to World Showcase..
I just heard that the Friendships are docked for "rehab"!!
Does anyone know if this is ALL of them,,??Thank you

The boats are not under going rehab, the dock at the YC/BC is under going routine maintenance. This is the info from Deb Will's site

Routine maintenance is underway at the Yacht and Beach Club's Transportation Dock. While this work is being completed, FriendShip boat transportation to Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and neighboring resorts will not be available from the Yacht and Beach Club. The dock is set to reopen March 14. Bus transportation will be provided to Disney's Hollywood Studios from the Yacht and Beach Club bus stops. You can reach Epcot, Disney's BoardWalk Inn and Villas, and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels by walking

You will be able to get from DHS to Epcot, the boat will just not stop at the YC/BC dock.

I will be checking into BWI on 3/5 after 3 nights at ASMu. Planned on heading to EPCOT first thing in the morning & after lunch taking boat from EPCOT to BWI for check in. Just got email from Boardwalk Itinerary Planning that no boats available & I need to walk to BWI. Is that right? Anyone there right now who can clear this up once & for all?

Yesterday we rode the boat from DHS to Epcot. It stopped at Swan/Dolphin, then Boardwalk, then onto Epcot. No stop at BC/YC due to dock rehab. We exited the boat at Boardwalk to each lunch and there were plenty of folks boarding from there. The announcements were clear - next stop was Epcot. Maybe something has changed since yesterday - but as of noontime everything seemed normal.

Thanks for the real time update Madhatter. If for some reason they are not running on Saturday it won't "ruin" my trip, I just thought it would be a fun way for the kids to arrive at the resort. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

That's good, I was worried that the ice on the waterways might be a problem.

No problem. We always enjoy the boat ride at least once. As for ice - the only ice you will find here is in your tea! It is hot and humid! I expected the heat but didn't think about the humidity so early in the year. We were here just about this time last year and I remember wearing sweatshirts in the AM. Not now - it's shorts and t-shirts. Did I mention that it was hot?

Even if the Friendship boats are running it's less than a ten minute walk from the Epcot International Gateway to the BWI.

The WDW internal web site, which is used to disseminate info to cast members, still says just the YC/BC dock is affected.

Either Disney forgot to tell its cm's, or the Boardwalk cast is hopelessly confused.
