we are! hope you had a wonderful Christmas too!
met up with a friend and her kids yesterday and today taking Megan and her BFF to see the Chipmunks movie then back home to hang out and dinner! having some lazy mornings too which is always good! need to start taking down decorations - boy I don't like this part of Christmas - still have 6 days of vacation and only NYE plans made, the rest of the time is open!!

We got the opportunity for a weekend visit to DLR with some DIS friends wdwmickey and her DD musicaldisneydreams - thanks Cheryl and Rachel for sharing some of your trip with us!

As some of you know I surprised Megan with this trip....

ok I know I took photos of her opening her surprise and the cute bag D~ made her....not on my memory card or photobucket? dang

well will get started...we arrive at our hotel with no problems, got checked in and settled in for the night!

next morning we got up and ready to go - I had been texting Cheryl for our meeting time and place ...was driving Megan crazy, she knew we were meeting someone but couldn't figure it out...then she saw a text! she was so excited to see Cheryl and Rachel again!


Cheryl and I - Cheryl made us matching shirts for the day!!

Our Girls -

they were so sweet to Megan, they let her pick out our schedule for the day! we dropped off our stuff at the lockers and headed for Space Mtn! had a pretty short wait....

then we went to Buzz

then headed to the hub for some photos

up next Frontier Land

BTMRR -

New Orleans Square -

we rode POTC and the Jungle Cruise...Megan wanted to go on Haunted Mansion, but we needed to wait....was a part of our Holiday Tour - Megan didn't know about that yet -

headed back over to the castle - so pretty!

FantasyLand -

we went to check out the line for Rapunzel - 90 minutes ! went over to have lunch at Village Haus, was crazy busy due to the rain starting up, needed to stalk for a table but finally got one

with the rain a lot of people left lines, so Rapunzel was only 50 minutes, decided we would wait - Megan was too happy with waiting, but Rachel kept her occupied by letting her borrow her I -Touch!

Rapunzel was so cute and sweet.....loved her little room...

Great trip report. Disneyland looks like so much fun and the castle looks fabulous with the snow on it. I absolutely LOVE your matching shirts. How fun that the girls got to spend time together. Rapunzel's "house" looks so cute. Do you think they will add something similar in the new Fantasyland at DW?

Andy just came back from Anaheim on Sunday and he spent a little time at Disneyland/California Adventure. He had a good time, but says he prefers Disney World (I can't comment as we've never been to Disneyland).

Looking forward to more.

DLR is different, to me its maybe cozier...you can do DLR and DCA in three days easy, so its great for a long weekend trip!

thanks, hey its my park too! first visit was in 1975, didn't get back until 2003 (megan's first DLR trip) think we have about 35 trips under our belt since we lived in CA for 7 years! and one more is coming in February too!

Today is a very tough anniversary for Lisa and Megan...the earthquake in Haiti happened today (Lisa, I hope you don't mind my sharing that). I am sure Lisa would appreciate some words of encouragement. I love you my dear friend. I can't believe I haven't known you forever!
Lisa always tells me she doesn't miss Jim anymore on the anniversaries than she does any other day, I just wanted to make sure everyone knew...Thinking of you both...
