Our flight to MCO went off without a hitch this time thankfully!
we arrived on time, picked up our bags and headed over to get checked in for our Magical Express ride.

Megan realized that we weren't in the POP Century line...so I though fast and said well this is where they told us to go....got on the bus and I decided to give Megan her surprise.......

she was so happy we were going to be staying at POFQ

we are almost there...

we are "home".....

our room #4120....we were only steps from the food court and bus stop!

we got all settled in and unpacked (decided to bring our bags onto the bus so we could do just that)

headed out for a quick tour of the resort...the fountain in the lobby

the pool area......

then headed over to get some dinner at the food court....

went back to our room to get ready for bed around 930, we were tired and were going to try and make rope drop the next day at MK! I didn't sleep very good that night, never do the first night, but felt great the next morning.....

so do we make rope drop???? you'll have to wait and see......

I just love that look on Meg's face - totally captured her excitement!!!

And I just love all the night time pictures of POFQ... It looks so magical. I just love WDW at night anyways, all the lights remind me of CHristmas.

she was so excited....forgot to add she must of told me thank you about 10 times!!! we loved the room, so nice, new and clean! the decorations are pretty cool and SO big!

is going to come a bit early this year.....we had already planned on visiting our friends in CA before xmas this year and we are now going to spend that first weekend in DLR with a DIS friend and her DD....sshhh, big surprise for Megan!
we are flying out 12/16 and then going back up to Modesto on the 19th to the 23rd. had already told megan we were flying into a different airport this trip so she won't suspect a thing until we get to LA! will be doing the Holiday Tour in MK and seeing all the beautiful holiday decorations! can't wait!

I won't spill the beans here and I'm so glad I didn't spill the beans to Megan while you were here. I don't know why I thought she knew. What a great surprise! And you get a double dose of friends!

sorry for the lack of updates everyone! will do my best to get one posted tomorrow!
have a sinus headache/headcold so its limiting my DIS time!

yes we are going to DLR for two days...piggy backing it to our annual trip back to Modesto to see our friends...using airline and hotel points for that portion of our trip! love when one vaca helps pay for another one.
I know we've done lots of trips this year, and hope to continue as many as possible....we've decided its what we want to do and if any opportunity comes up, we are grabbing it and going!! four/five planned for next year already!

DLR - President day weekend
HI cruise - spring break - courtesy of grandma
Trip to NC - visiting Judy and her gang, taking Megan back to Charleston where she was born and maybe to GA to visit some other friends - early summer
Modesto - maybe quick weekend trip for friends wedding in March and then again at xmas time

yes we have the travel bug! plus I figure I better do as much as I can now before Megan doesn't want to hang out with me anymore

All that travel sounds like fun and a great excuse for girl time. Can't wait to hear about all of your adventures.

I still have Disney bags all over my guest room but I need to clean them up before our guests arrive for turkey day.
