The Cast:
Brenda (me), 34 and ususally go to Disney every year. I skipped 2004 because I opened a new business, but had serious Disney withdrawals. I'm a hairdresser and original plan for this trip was to go to a class to learn how to do extensions.
Cristina, 25, my friend (who is also a hairdresser), who has never been to Disney. And I'm so excited because I get to show her what's what!
Wednesday, April 6
After a night of no sleep and actually feeling nauseous, I was nervous I was coming down with the flu. So, I just kept telling myself that, I was fine and that I wasn't sick. I talked myself right out of that one, lol. I dropped my kids off at school and then my friend and I were on our way to MHT. We get down there about an hour a head of schedule so we just relax and read.
Yay, its time to board and we are on our way to Philly. We have a two hour layover there, so we head to TGIFriday's for lunch. Then we board our next plane and we head to Orlando!
We get our luggage and head to National's Emerald Club Aisle and I spot the car that I've been wanting to try out...The Pontiac G6 (the one that oprah gave away to her audience). It was the first car in the row. After loading everything up, we get in and are on our way.
We finally find (after many u-turns) the Sheraton Safari. We got this on priceline for about $48/night for two nights. Its a very nice hotel. We were on the 4th floor. The beds are sooooooooooo comfy and the pillows were wonderful!!! Friendly staff and very clean. We check in and are starving so we head across a side street and go to Olive Garden. We each had a couple of margaritas (never had one before, they were very good), plus our pasta dishes. We then head back to the Sheraton and I'm totally wiped out, from not getting any sleep and being up 36 hours straight and from the margarita's. It's 7pm and I'm going to bed. My friend says she's going to take a walk around the hotel.
Next...Day 2 or "feel the power"
