Friends from Hell... A Disney's Hilton Head Island Trip Report 7/5 updated

I am the scum of the earth I know it. :upsidedow

In my defense I have 10 kids coming over tonight for a tye dye party so I have been frantically cleaning, shopping, etc for the event (I'll post pics haha):hippie:

How about this.. I will update the Title of this thread when I start the Hilton Head portion going, that way those subbing can tell if new stuff is here. :surfweb:

I am sorry I have failed to keep the ball rolling on this, but it's summer, it's nice out, and I am a flake.

:flower3:

Wow! What a report so far! :cool1: The title is what drew me over, too.

You know what? I know we haven't gotten to the "friends" part yet, but I must say that I had a friend/first cousin who really SUCKED. I took her crap for years. I threw her a babyshower and got YELLED at for asking her to get me a list of names and addresses and I was paying for the entire shower by myself, she could have been grateful, but she was not. She demanded CAKE and CUPCAKES. When I told her I was only doing the cupcakes, she got angry and said I TOLD YOU I WANTED CAKE and CUPCAKES!". Geez! She had her mother in law make her a cake and I did what I said I was going to do. Guess how many people came to this shower??? A grand total of four people. Now I know why she has so many friends.

I loaned her everything I could possibly think of that belonged to my son (crib, swing, bassinet, blankets, clothes, etc.) and then I loaned her a lot of MONEY and then she screams at me b/c I call to chat with her, telling me that I was "getting all up in her business." Whatever. I was just trying to be nice. I told her to take a HIKE! I couldn't take it anymore! The reason I post this is because the phone call during the wedding and her yelling at you, TOTALLY SOUNDED LIKE MY COUSIN!!!! I can definitely say your friend should not have had her phone on, nor should she have answered the call.

I did ask for all my stuff back, but needless to say I never got it back and now I hear there's another little one on the way, and DH says I can hang it in my ear, I'll never see my stuff again. Aw, Poop. Oh, well! At least I don't have to deal with her anymore. Life is so much more peaceful! :woohoo:

So I am extremely intrigued by your report and I'm loving that you guys stopped by 6FOG b/c we are going in a couple of weeks!!! Just for the day, but still I haven't been in ten years, so it'll be great!

Cute kids, loved the one of you and Marvin. Ready for more. You are so interesting! :hippie:

Hi everyone. Yes I am here, but I haven't worked much on the report. It's been a busy summer and on Monday we leave for Disney for two weeks. (well Universal for a week and then Disney for a week) I do plan on bringing my laptop so perhaps in the evenings while the kids hog the TV, I can work on it. Lame I know. I am sorry.

I did work on Mickey Tye Dye for our trip though. AND I used the Disney Hilton Head Island Resort Instructions to make them so........

Here is how to make them

This is the way they showed me at Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort.

I like Hanes Mens Cotton Undershirts. Light weight, takes the dye well, and on the cheap side.

First Find some things to use to trace out the head

Make sure you place a mark in the center of each circle, you will grab that mark to start each section

IMG_0213.jpg

Gather up each circle trying to make each fold kind even and then place a band around the whole thing (see near my thumb)

When you put the dye on, make sure that band just below the circles has a coordinating/contrasting color as you can see below.

All my little mickey shirts ready to go....

Tulip kits

I tye my shirts dry, then I soak them in cold water (no soda ash, coz the tulip kits dont need it) and wring them out well. If you dont wet them first, the dye just rolls off them, even if they have been washed a million times with no soap. (which btw you should do)

Love the How to. We made them while were there and my kids have worn them alot already. Have a blast at Disney World. I can't wait to hear the rest of your trip report.

I read your report and watched lots of your videos, (the mini golf one brought back a LOT of memories!), read about the wedding call, and all of these have made me:rotfl::lmao::scared1::thumbsup2.

Bye the way I totally agree with your statement about Disneyland vs MK. I also like DCA a lot! Have you ever eaten at Napa Rose? I ate there on my birthday three years ago, yumm!

Love San Diego! In fact, I would love to live on the coast between Anaheim and San Diego.

Cool shirts! Have a great trip!

Thought about you last week, DH played hookie on Friday and we went to Six Flags over GA. Man I'm getting too old for those kind of rollercoasters all day !

I went to Six Flags on Monday. Was it crowded for you guys? We got there and we were like :scared1: WHERE'D ALL THESE PEOPLE COME FROM? I guess we were thinking since it was a Monday and some of the schools have already started there, it would be lower crowd levels. Boy were we wrong! I have a mini-Six Flags TR in my thread if you're interested.

With little ones, though, we were not able to do too many rollercoasters. I want to, though. I just LOVE rollercoasters!!!

You know it seemed crowded when we walked in and some of the rides had 90 min wait times posted, but the longest we waited for anything was 45, for Batman and Superman and some stuff like Ninja was practically walk on.

I'll go check out your report !

Wow, you got so lucky, then! That is awesome! :thumbsup2 I don't know why it was so crowded on a Monday, then. Oh, well! We still had fun. :goodvibes
