So were you able to get the dining discount for late January already? From earlier posts, it sounded like you needed to call about 2 weeks before reservation. I was lucky enough to have someone share F&F discount, and I reserved back in August. I called to check maybe a month ago, and they said there were no further discounts available. I'd call now, but with the new discount, I'm sure the Travel Company Cast Members are crazy overworked now!

The cast member may have to call for this one because it is part of the Holiday Appreciation booklet. Your room only will have to be cancelled and the reservation will go to a package with a $200 deposit and the remaining balance due 45 days before arrival. I was able to change my 2 kids' rooms to the new discount at the same time. It was easier for me because I had already added the dinning and had a package. I saved over $1,800 on all 3 rooms.

What is the Holiday Appreciation booklet? My husband is a CM, but has only been with Disney since May. Do all CMs get one?

Does he work at WDW.? If so, have him go on the Hub and he will see it. It can't be printed until the 20th, but he can see the discounts. Just have him call the cast line and change your reservation. I think it ends the beginning to middle of February. Meant to say only Park CMs get it. The discount is only for park and retired CMs. I am retired.

Yes, he works at WDW. He covers several different areas for parks & resorts. I will tell him to look for it just in case. We have friends visiting in January, and saving a little more $$ would be great. Thanks for the info!

Ok, my CM is DL, so probably won't get it. I'll hold tight and call closer to Jan. Great discounts though!!

I called today to have the discounted DDP added to our stay. They said they could ONLY add it by canceling our tickets and all of our FP+ selections. Does this sound right

yep it is right sadly. sometimes the system doesn't cancel the fast passes but it is a possibility because they switch you to a package and by doing so it deletes the whole thing out of the system. Some have had luck with it not canceling everything and others have had it wipe out their fastpasses completely.

Yes. They aren't traditional packages with tickets, unfortunately.

We received the holiday booklet in the mail today. I see where CMs can get 60% off, but I didn't see anything about friends & family getting a bigger discount. We haven't booked a room because we live near MK. It would be for our friends that are visiting. Does the F&F discount increase with holiday celebration or is it only if CM is staying?

Question...so I have booked a F and F 40% Other Guest bedroom booked for Jan 4-10. I called today to add the dining plan at full price since it's not discounted at the moment and the CM said that she did not see any code to let her add it, even at full price.

Should I have my cousin, the CM, call and see if she can add it? Is that how it works?

I would have your cousin call. You will be switching from room only to a package. the deposit on your room only will be refunded and you will need to put a $200 deposit down. there should be a F&F rate with dinning for that time period.

Thanks. I thought so but the CM I talked to said that she could not see the code to add dining to the package. I'll ask her to call.

I have a few in my party that are not going to be able to pay the full amount of the reservation until 2 weeks before we go. I am worried that the dining plan discount will no longer be available or is really limited to begin with, is this the case? Also do park tickets have to be included with the package? I am a "every last detail was finished six months ago" planner dealing with a daughter in the DCP who thinks none of this is a big deal because she is there everyday. Its killing me because she won't even call and check on the Holiday Discounts because she says "we don't get those until the 20th" ...who is this kid???

Park tickets do not need to be purchased. Once you add the dinning plan it becomes a package and the balance is due 45 days before arrival. Not sure what the time limit is for adding it 2 weeks before you go. The thing is, all because you have rooms booked it will not automatically transfer to the new discount. You will have to see if the resort has availability at the cast discount. The booklet does not come out until the 20th, but she can call and ask for the discount.

Hopefully aaarcher86 will chime in. She is more knowledgeable about current things than I am. I am retired so get my information from fellow cast members

It says it can be booked on the hub, but when we tried everything came up at 50% instead of 60% no matter what date/resort combination we tried. He hasn't tried calling yet.

Usually on the hub there is a banner that says something about the holiday discount. you have to click that to get it to work. Also tell him to go to the discount page first not directly to cast booking.
