Friends and Family Discount

Okay, tried reading through all of this and now my head is spinning!! LOL!! I have a friend who is a CM at WDW. He is willing to do the Friends and Family thing for us, but he wasn't very clear on what the discounts were or for what. I am looking at trying to do a week long trip in April, 2015. I want to do a package with the room, tickets and the dining plan. Any idea what the discounts are and on what? He won't be staying with us. I'm just trying to determine whether I can afford to do a week at WDW vs. just a few days at DL without any discounts. Thanks!

Hi all! We just booked our rooms with the F&F discount for December 2015...can we add dining yet? I know sometimes they don't have codes yet for it. Also, just verifying, park tickets cannot be added to these, correct? They have to be purchased separately?

I believe they've got full priced dining out now. Tickets are separate.

Right now it's a discount in the room only. Sometimes as it gets closer they discount dining. Tickets can't be booked with these packages. You'll need to do them separately.

If you already have a package with tickets, I would assume it'd take away your FP since they'd remove the tickets and you'd have to get them separately.

If you had a room only and separately linked tickets already, you might be fine. I don't know. Your reservation number would change. I don't know if that would reset your FP+. The system changes so often and is so touchy it's hard to say.

Plus dining normally is 63 per adult per night.. Current promo till end of dec. for F&F is 48.99 per adult per night. And I wouldn't wait to try to add it as you know it's based on avail. And sometimes it's hard to find the closer you get to your date of arrival.

Does anyone know what the FF plus dining regular fee is for kids in the 3-9 range? We aren't planning on going until nov 2015, but I am starting my planning now!

Not off the top of my head, but it's just full price right now. You could look at the DDP prices under the restaurants board for exact pricing.

So we normally go to Disneyworld and I'm very familiar with the F&F hotel discounts. But it looks like we are going out to LA to visit some friends next year, so we are going to do a few nights at Disneyland. Does anybody know if Disneyworld CMs can get F&F rates at Disneyland hotels? Just looking at my options. We also have DVC, but I know it's tough to get into VGC at 7 months.

You can use CM tickets if the CM gets them for you. You can get tickets however you want, it's just separate from the package.

They just started this package stuff for CMs a few months ago, but I believe you do get the booklet with coupons, etc.

So, I added the full price dining to my discounted FF room only and now I have a new confirmation number that is a package number with letters and numbers. I bought tix and linked them to MDE on my own and received mail about my trip already including info on how to do FP plus. I can't wait!

I don't understand how people are getting up to 60 and we are always at 20.
Does the percentage vary by position or anything that would keep us from going over 20%?

I've never heard of the CM rate being so low. I thought it was generally at least 40% for friends/CM NOT in the room with you, and 50% for CM IN the room with you? That's been our experience in the past on two trips with CMs at least. We stayed at a Mod with 50% off in Sept.

Are you sure they're checking CM rates and not just general public offers? Otherwise, I have no clue whats up

You may want your friend to check a few other places. My brother gets us the F&F discount and the amount varies by location and is not available everywhere.
