Friends and Family Discount

So I called reservations a bit ago, and found out they have discounted dining for F&F through 12/23. No luck for my 1/24 trip, but I'll try again in a few more weeks. At least I didn't have to wait too long to talk to someone!
We are thinking about adding a couple more days to the trip, and of course budget comes up. I realized I have no idea what the discounted dining price is. From looking at earlier posts, it looks like it's not very much maybe a few dollars, but with all the 40-60% off discussions, I got 50% off stuck in my head. Anyone have any idea what the discounted dining plans cost? I'm happy with ballpark. :stitch:

I dont remember what regular price is but it was going to be about $50 per night for us in Sept. We got a GREAT price last year and only paid $35 per night. Sadly with no character meals planned this time, the $50 per night really didn't work out to be better for us than paying OOP so we did not get it.

Was that for the regular dining plan, the one that is around $60/day, with one quick service and one table?

Plus dining normally is 63 per adult per night.. Current promo till end of dec. for F&F is 48.99 per adult per night. And I wouldn't wait to try to add it as you know it's based on avail. And sometimes it's hard to find the closer you get to your date of arrival.

I was hoping to add dining last night, but hopefully I will get in on it later, since we dont arrive till 1/24.

I was just able to call the main number and add dining to my trip!! I don't even care that it was full price dining because 40% off the AOA family suite is an amazing deal!

The main number may not be able to do it. Silly I know but I called the main number once and they got super mad at me.

Instead call 407-WDW-CAST and you'll get the cast booking department. Much nicer about making changes to F&F reservations.

I've always called the main number and they are giving me the hardest time. Telling me the CM has to call to make changes. Ive had my CM friend book our rooms under the other guest bedroom discount at least 3 times before and I've been able to make any changes. He was insistent that the CM had to call to make the changes.

I called as a CM to the main number not cast booking one time and they refused to help me or even transfer me to cast booking. It was stupid.

I was kind o taken aback by his attitude when I called because he was kind of accusatory towards me like I booked the reservation fraudulently. It took almost my entire lunch hour to get this done when I've done it in 10 minutes. He even tried to say that the CMs name and permer weren't on the reservation. He was like "I need the the perner before we hang up" thankfully my friend is just a text away but I really was bothered by how I was treated.

That is weird. I called 407-939-1936 because that was the number listed on My Disney Experience under my reservation to call to make changes. When I called the TA line before she couldn't do it. I'm just happy that I have an affordable package now :)

Oh thank you for that number!! I just called the regular number and she was able to look it up for me, at least to say it's NOT available. I spent a while going back to see if there was a different number and I couldn't find one.
I'm just thrilled to have the 40% discount too! We went ahead and added the dining when we booked, so just hoping to save a little more. Even with the discount, with 8 nights at WL, it adds up!

SO, even if we miss out on the F&F dining discount, I can still add dining to our reservation at full price?

Yes, you can. I just did. However, I keep having to call the MDE help desk because now there are 2 package reservations with 1 confirmation number. Also, she added Memory Maker for me on the phone and it's showing in my email but it's not connected to MDE and there's no number to add it.

Also, I bought my tickets separately and I can't see anywhere where it says I can make fastpases at 60 days. AAHHH!!!

Hi all! We just booked our rooms with the F&F discount for December 2015...can we add dining yet? I know sometimes they don't have codes yet for it.

Also, just verifying, park tickets cannot be added to these, correct? They have to be purchased separately?

I'm not sure when you can add dining but you do have to buy tix separately. I just did this and MDE IT dept fixed it all for me in the system and now my Memory Maker, my tix, and my package are all there and correct.

Okay, tried reading through all of this and now my head is spinning!! LOL!!

I have a friend who is a CM at WDW. He is willing to do the Friends and Family thing for us, but he wasn't very clear on what the discounts were or for what. I am looking at trying to do a week long trip in April, 2015. I want to do a package with the room, tickets and the dining plan. Any idea what the discounts are and on what? He won't be staying with us. I'm just trying to determine whether I can afford to do a week at WDW vs. just a few days at DL without any discounts.

Thanks!
