Kyree had a calm and stable today. It is double good because they were running some tests to try and understand why his right lung is not resolving as quickly as the left. Often when they have run tests and procedures it upset things but today remained stable - Yeah!

Please continue praying for healing in Kyree's lungs, particularly the right one. Please keep praying that Kyree suffers no complications from the ECMO machine. Please also pray for the medical staff. There are more cases in the ICU and people are pressed thin. Amazing work that is done by the staff caring for very sick people.

Thank you again for the care and concern and prayers for Kyree and others who are in a similar place.

Definitely praying for Kyree and his family. This has to be hard on all of you guys!

I received more of an update on some tests from yesterday. The tests found some clots in his lungs, some they were able to get out and some they weren't. They will try a simliar procedure again in a few days to see if they can get the ones, particularly in his right lung, out. They also checked on his other organs and everything still showed strong - which is great news. They said Kyree is still trying to come out of the sedation frequently which takes constant vigilance to prevent but shows he is a fighter and that his brain is functioning. He was stable today and his numbers have stayed up.

Thank you for the prayers and positive thoughts. please keep praying for his lungs to heal and for no complications from the ECMO machine.

Poor little guy. I've been praying for him. I can't stand that this is still going on!

It's so scary to think that an otherwise healthy child is fighting for his life, despite some very high tech medical intervention.

Kyree had a good day per the doctors. It was a bit scary this morning as the xrays showed his lungs getting worse. The doctors explained that xrays are not always the best indicator of someone's conditions and that he is still stable and going in the right direction. They have reduced his sedation level. The medical staff indicated that if he can breath a bit on his own that will help clear out his airway. But his mom is saying that he is moving his limbs and opened his eyes and looked at her a few times. A PT person came in and moved all his limbs and did range of motion exercises and those were all good.

I know this has been a long time for people to keep track of what is happening so am grateful that you are still praying for Kyree and his mom and brother. They appreciate it too. Please continue praying that Kyree's lungs heal and that the ECMO machine causes no complications or harm.

I haven't posted, but I have been reading this thread every day. I'm praying for Kyree also, and am glad to read the promising updates, thanks for keeping up with the thread, I check it every night to see how he's doing.

Thank you for the updates! Kyree will continue to be in my prayers tonight. I hope the X-Rays weren't accurate and that his lungs are healing well. Also, prayers for Kyree's mom! I can't imagine how hard this must be on her.

I'm still praying for Kyree morning and night.

I read the updates every day, even though I don't post to the thread every day. I am praying he might be home in time for Christmas. I know it's too soon to think of discharge; he just has to make it through each day for the next couple of weeks, but I like to think positively in the long term.
