I need to thank Kyree and his family and everyone on this thread.
Because of this thread, I have begun to talk to God again. I realized that I had not done so since my Dad passed. Praying for this little boy to get better has made me look at myself as well. I will keep praying. I hope all this praying helps that family as it has helped me as well.

Kyree had a good night. They were going to complete some more procedures today to see if they could clear out more of Kyree's lungs but I have not heard how that went. Kyree's mom did indicate that when they listened to his lungs that they heard breath sounds in both lungs which is a good sign.

Please continue praying for Kyree that his lungs heal. Please continue praying that he has no complications and only healing from the ECMO machine.

photobear I am sorry to hear of the loss of your dad. I lost my mom more than 10 years ago and still remember how hard it was. I can now remember more good memories rather than the sadness at the time that we lost her. I am glad to hear that things are moving in a positive direction for you. Thank you for your prayers for Kyree in the midst of a tough time for you. I know I was touched by your post and I am sure Kyree and his mom will be too. thanks for sharing your post.

Kyree's stats have taken a bit of a step back wards. They started falling when they were suctioning things out. They are running some tests to see what might be causing the drop in his stats and some potential swelling of some internal organs.

It is also sad that two of the other kids on the ECMO machines have passed on. I am so sorry for their family. It is a reminder of how scary this all is for Kyree and his family.

Please pray that they are able to determine what is causing Kyree's stats to drop. Please pray that any thing adversely affecting his organs and lungs is identified, treated, and resolved quickly. Please pray for his mom. They are curtailing visitors to the hospital (not just to Kyree and the patients but to see the family as well) so it makes it tougher as Kyree's mom must leave in order to talk to others. I would think this puts more pressure on her.

I'm sorry to hear that Kyree is having some new difficulties now.. Of course he and his mom will remain in my prayers..

I'm also sorry to hear about the other 2 children passing on.. Were they hospitalized due to H1N1? What a nightmare for the families..

Thank you again for the updates.. That poor little guy has been there a long, long time.. His mom must be totally exhausted..

Thanks C.Ann. One was confirmed H1N1. the other was believed to be H1N1 but not positive. From what Kyree's mom is saying there are quite a few kids with H1N1 complications in the PICU.

Kyree's mom is amazing. She is handling the ups and downs like a trooper. She takes time to update everyone and even posted about the visiting rules change so no one would drive over and not be aware that they might be turned away. I am sure she is exhausted but doing an amazing job!

Is Kyree's Mom aware of CaringBridge.com?

It is a website we use to keep family updated when our friends/family are in the hospital. It may help her...especially since they are restricting visitors.

That is such a major pain to have no visitors.

Please pray for Kyree. His oxygen level is much lower and they are trying to figure out why and what can be done to bring it up. They are calling in the surgeon to see if anything can be done with the ECMO machine. I don't understand everything that is occuring but possible swelling is pushing the tubes where they shouldn't be?

What ever it is please pray they identify it quickly and can resolve it. Please pray for strength for his mom and the people there with her as they deal with the scare.

Kyree will be in my prayers constantly tonight. I pray for complete healing for Kyree and peace and comfort for his mother. I know that they are both in God's hands... and I pray that we as humans will find peace and understanding in the difficult things in life we all must face.
