I'm sorry if that came across the wrong way, I wasn't trying to sound mean at all. :flower:

I didn't think you sounded mean at all :sunny:

My cousin is a CM at DL. I'll have to remember to ask him what he thinks. He might have some interesting theories on the parks as well. In any case, we are really looking forward to becoming DL regs.

Thought I DO wish they would build a new resort at DL--all those themes on another thread provide some good ideas.... I love the GC but wish we had more options. Even at WDW I might get tired of GF (gasp!) if it was the only deluxe I liked there. We like to vary our stays at all the diff. WDW deluxes just for variety.

I'm glad I didn't come across as being mean. I'm always worried about offending people because that's the last thing I want to do. :)
I wish they would build a new resort at DL too. I've only stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and would love to try out the GC but I wish there were more options.
I noticed you're a Grand Floridian fan. :flower: We stayed there on our first trip to WDW in December and I absolutely fell in love with it! We're staying there is Oct.-Nov again and I can't wait. :cool1:

Okay, we have met some of the nicest people at DL (notice I didn't say teenagers ;) ) We had a couple of neat experiences there and people were always talking to us while we were standing in line and stuff. I like DL because things are laid back - West Coast and nobody's in a hurry.

WDW seemed more intense to me, but that is just because there is so much to do and so much ground to travel. I think that stresses people out a bit. We pay so much $$$$ and then have to haul out to see it all - especially if you are on a short schedule. But as far as people being rude, I didn't notice them being any more rude or less so than the people at DL. One thing I do remember was returning from the parks the last day several years ago. My son who was about three at the time (for whatever reason - maybe because he is sooo hyperfocused on Disney) just let loose and started throwing a complete crying and screaming fit on the way home on the monorail. I felt so sorry for the people all around us. We tried to quiet him and the more we tried to calm him down the worse it became. "I don't wanna leave Disney. I don't wanna leave..." Well, finally this woman sitting next to us said "Your son would be a great PR for a Disney Vacation Commercial. His experience was so great, he just doesn't want to leave." All the people around us started laughing (including myself), and I was so thankful to that woman. It was the right words at the right time. I just wanted to hug her.

We love the GC, and have yet to try PP, but our friends LOVE it! We prefer the MK over CA, and enjoy the little DTD area (especially the sephora and build-a-bear stores!). :goodvibes

For a "different" but very immaculate and safe property, we have also enjoyed the little RESIDENCE INN on Clementine street (a couple blocks from the park). ;)

It's adorable, offers transportation to/from the parks, along with full breakfast and dinner (inclusive). The Penthouse (2-story) is the type of room we always reserve. Since it's a MARRIOTT, I know of a great offer which expires tomorrow. GO TO this site for a peek:

Test drive a buick...and receive a ccertificate good for $100 off a Marriott 2-day paid stay! Not a bad deal. :confused3

We've met some really great people while at DW, in line, on the rides, the monorail, everybody's just in a great mood, okay, there are those exceptions. However, I work in an Atlantic City casino, where 98% of the guests are miserable, and Saddam Hussein is a fuzzy bunny in comparison.
