Im getting deja vu! I think most of us fall travelers did this same song and dance last year..and when April 1st rolled around...NADDA..I dont think they announced it till May...so Im not holding my breath. It will be there..for sure!

I was just saying the same thing to my partner today. I had said I wonder if I were to go back to this time last year, whether there would be all the same types of comments and speculations about whether free dining was coming, if it will be something different or nothing at all. Maybe something in between, maybe all three!

I thought it was closer to July for 20/30/40 pin. I don't know, all I know is I am not gonna ride the crazy train like last year, (checking countless emails, constant DIS board reading, etc...) for "Disney Discounts"!

Well, I can say that it's not true because just this morning I got an email offering me the Lady and the Tramp PIN.... Free Quick Service at Values and Moderates, Free Disney Dining Plan at Deluxes, good "most nights 4/23- 8/13"...

So still offering discounts through PINs, and I'm sure others are coming... Keep faith!

I'm sorry I guess I wasn't very clear, I'm looking for FD or 40% off pin for, here's the clincher, specific dates Oct. 8-15, thats were the stress comes in! LOL!

I believe it was released on Monday, May 3rd to the general public, but was released to VISA holders the previous Friday, April 30th. I remember anxiously awaiting FD for our September trip last year. Now we're hoping for something, anything, for the summer.

My partner just got that same pin yesterday for the second time. My, I don't get anything. Anyway, it is a bit of a let down to get just the offer we want but for the wrong time. Because of my low seniority at work, there is no chance I can get my two weeks vacation time off together in the summer. I have to wait until the end of August/beginning of September.

So, here we sit just like the rest of you here, waiting for the general public fd and hoping it is for August 29th or to to about the 8th of September. We are debating whether to go for 9 night/10 days or 10 nights/11 days. My partner wanted a preferred room at Pop but I said it was cheaper for the standard and that way we can go for an extra day. I'd rather have the extra day with Mickey!



Yes from my research, it was the beginning of May last year for general public free dining. If the same thing goes for this year, we have another month of stress and waiting coming!

Othere people are reporting 30% off Deluxe and Deluxe Villas, I think June - Aug but funny enough I cant find it on there.....

Just got 30% off on a Deluxe room for July with the new discount... had the FD pin, but saved another $200 with this discount, so we dropped the FD and picked up the 30% off the room... not a bad way to start April.

As far as FD goes, it seems like all the recent offers, specials, pins etc. have been for travel up to Aug. 13. My thoughts are we just have to wait and sit tight to see what is coming for late August and beyond.

My totally uneducated guess is that we will have to wait till May at least. My planned travel dates are during "hurricane season", so I am hopeful that if nothing else, they will at least have FD during that time period. Who knows.

Free dining for that period has already been offered. It had to be booked by 12/20/10. I guess we will see later if Disney will offer it for that time period again...I'll be they don't.
