Friday Ride-a-Thon

So in another room now and everyone is falling off. No one is quite sure why. When we get to the port, we are all bumped back to the start.

Well - to help those of you who have not suffered through this yet, the door is a lock. ?!?!? You have to double click on the door at the exact second that the 2 symbols match and voila - the door opens!

After about 10 tries - woohoo! - at the right of the screen Little Jegrezo (in purple of course) is free to the next room.

Where she promptly finished the ride and received - nothing.

Come on VMK! You know this event was coming. You had time to test it and make it work. We're here. We're ready to play by your rules. But it doesn't work. Please fix our game so it's fun, not maddening.

I am in queue for the blue room. I am number 32 at 220 pm. Sorry did not notice my credits before going in. I got a down.
Ok now 238pm and in line for orange #27. I was not charged and did not get another piece. It is 243pm I am 73 for magenta and did not get charged. Ok done at 301pm but I only have one down. The time did not take all that long but I do hope to get the other pieces also.

Question, if they do fix it where we receive a down for each color we ride, do we have to ride again later to get the other pieces or they will just show up?

?? They're having some minor problems with handing out pieces, thats it. Seriously, you people on this board take these things far too seriously. Of course problems are going to arise in doing something like this.

Couple of comments here. They are not minor problems if the event is not functioning, there is more then one issue. Free game or not, they get paid to do it right. If any other disney event went off with this many glitches where do you think you would find the planner or manager responsible the next day. The people on this board do at times get a little worked up, but we come here to share our experiences good bad and ugly. If you don't like it move on or give your opinion but don't trash others for sharing their thoughts. On a possitive note the room designs look really good as Cat said. Excellant job on the set up. if only they flowed better with 1500 people riding.

I thought they were going to fix it so you got a prize every time you rode, but it is still one-piece-only. Will keep checking back here to see if anyone reports otherwise later in the day.

I did a Green run and got a Down Slide.

Even after reading this thread and knowing of the problems, a few minutes later I did the Orange ride and got nothing. I'm not surprised and I'm confident the VMK team is working to fix the issue.

I wonder if they will know how many times we ride and don't get a prize, and then will they then reimburse us later with the missed prizes or am I just wasting time? I'm writing down my rides, just in case.

I am 10th in Q now for the Blue ride.

I really like the rooms the decorations and the designs are great (visual at least, I've read there are some funcionality issues, though I haven't experienced any). The new pieces are cool. I sure hope we will be able to buy the toll booths to add to our rides (and be able to charge other players). If we can charge other players to ride, that'll be a cool way to "trade credits" instead of having to use the Quest Kiosk. Hmm...

Well in her defense she did say all the end rooms would be winners... for a while there I thought it was a maze type thing and kept running the same Color with different options...

I just wish she could say WHEN it will be fixed.

In Fin's defense, she is a host. She does not run vmk or fix the problems. She probably does not know the answers we are looking for. Hosts just have the tricky position of being accesible to players at times like this.

I'm just still wondering how many credits it's going to cost to ride?
Will I go into negative numbers if I keep riding and riding?
Will I have to sell my stuff to pay VMK back?!
I'm mostly joking but it is funny.

Has anyone been in this room though? Definite "wow factor" for me.
