My guess is a space mountain teleporter! Very cool! :rotfl2: Oh ya, i have been in five queques only to be either bumped off track, booted because next room is full or no piece at all. Oh well at least we get all the kinks worked out for those riding after work later.  It's still fun! :woohoo:

I was just in Orange room and Host_Phinny was there and she said it will be fixed very soon.

Ooh! A Galactic Shower!

Actually, it looks like a Space Mountain teleporter. But I like calling it
a Galactic Shower better. :teeth:

Thanks everyone for keeping us work peeps who can't play VMK during
their lunch hour informed about these issues. I can't wait to log in tonight
and rack up some pieces.

This is the worst ride-a-thon I've ever heard of. It makes me think twice about going on when I get home from school. But I'll do it anyway and I can't wait. I need a complete list of what colors to go on and which to avoid.

?? They're having some minor problems with handing out pieces, thats it. Seriously, you people on this board take these things far too seriously. Of course problems are going to arise in doing something like this. :confused3

I agree with whats said above. Just some minor problems, it will be fixed. Plus how can you go from "This is the worst ride-a-thon Ive ever heard of." To "I cant wait to get on!" In just a couple sentences, that makes no sense.

Okay, first ride of the day:
Got a downhill piece and no credits were taken. Going to ride same room again and see what happens. Update coming soon...

I just said that this is the worst ride-a-thon I ever heard of because of all the problems that I'm reading about but I never said that I didn't want to go on. Sheesh.

Ok, wait - there are some 'minor' problems. But if you had the misfortune to get in the gold line, you will not get into the second room because it and the queue for it, are too long. That is a huge waste of time. If you have the misfortune to get into the magenta room, and you can't figure out how to work the door locks in time, you will be bumped to the floor where you can't move, or sent back to the door. In either case this is a monstrous waste of time and a huge aggrivation. It rates right up there on my 'VMK what were you thinking?' scale with last years Maze event!

I've come to conclusion that when these rides and mazes are being put together they are going for the "wow" factor in the looks department, and don't test it at all the volume of people that will be going through it.

After being blocked, locked out, frozen, kicked back to the beginning, kicked out of the room entirely, and other general mayhem the “looks factor” cease to interest people rather quickly.

What happened with last years maze event? I wasnt here.

Last Halloween weekend, there was a Maze Event. There were only three
different types: Easy, Medium, and Difficult. There were three entrances
in the same room for all the maze starts.

The queues for this event got up to the 500-600+ range, meaning that
you can wait an hour....then disconnect before getting into room.

If you were in a room earlier, and you wanted to go through the maze, some
kids would block teleporters on purpose, and people trying to get from
other rooms would get knocked to the room entrances....locked OUTSIDE
of the mazes themselves. Time to start over to the 500 person queue...

It was a logistic nightmare never to be repeated. :)

The other event was a costume contest, and it was very difficult for me
to get to a Castle Forecourt instance to get judged. If I made it in, I would
disconnect before seeing a staff member come judge. Some of my friends
were lucky enough to be judged more than once, and some of them won
Inferno as costume contest prizes, while others were winning the Mickey
ears pumpkins. I was aggravated that I couldn't even participate, let alone
get judged....as were many, MANY others.

So between the maze and the costume contest, the weekend was not
much fun for many of us.

I am really glad to see that the events have since been planned better.
Whenever there are any glitches, they are soon resolved.

Well, my second ride made me happy I was not ACTUALLY on Space Mountain - Little Jegrezo fell off.

And from there - no way to get back on. (Isn't that rule #1 in ride building that I learned last time?) So, back in line I went.

Cool thing to note: We actually seem to float over the track pieces, not ride right on them as you can see in the photo.

Once I managed to get through the entire ride a second time, no ride piece, no credits taken. Now in line for a different color. Will I get a ride piece? Stay tuned...

I have been through the Gold room and Yellow rooms. No problems at all other than not getting the ride piece the second time

Just talked to Fin..

Still broken.. as we know... but I asked if all end rooms would give prize or did we have to find the right room via switches and such... she said ALL end rooms will give prize.. WOOT!

Also here is a tip.. click that door asap... even if others are ahead of you...

OK. I have been on every color, switched routes on them and tried everything. So far only one piece on the first track i went on this morning at 8:35. So needless to say i am going to take a break and try again later. Which i hope they get it fixed today because i am going to be gone all weekend so i won't be able to ride after today! :furious: :scared1:

thanks bearz for the update! :goodvibes

In Magenta room DO NOT follow the track on the right. It leads to the second room which dumps you on a tron teleporter which means everyother person can get through and the others basically have to leave. I reported the problem twice when I was the stuck one and got the standard if your way is blocked use the map reply! I'm sorry if their design is bad and thought maybe they could fix it :confused3

ok can I just say that those door are...arg! It took me so many tries to get through those!
