Friday Night Arrival @ MCO - Rental Car Question

Hello All...I am looking for some advice, feedback and opinions. Here is the situation. We travel to MCO every year and rent from Alamo. We have ALWAYS arrived Early Morning or Early Afternoon except for 1 time when there was an airline delay. That year due to the late arrival we had very FEW vehicles to choose from and was given a free upgrade due to our vehicle size on our reservation was sold out.

Now this year I am considering arriving late Friday night on August 12th. I plan to book with Alamo as always. I plan to rent a standard or midsize vehicle. The arrival of the flight to MCO will be 8:40pm. Do you think the vehicle selections will be limited at that hour? If Alamo is sold out of our size, will they allow me to choose from Enterprise or National? Or will Alamo upgrade my size at no charge? What do you think will happen?

I don't know; we often get there late and have never had a class of cars "sold out".

If there are no cars simply ask the lot attendant and they will pull one for National or Enterprise for you.

Had this happen last Nov. took them less than 5 minutes to get me a car.

Alamo and National share the same fleet. I wouldn't worry about running out of cars at MCO. I've arrived after 11:00pm to a full lot.

This also happened to me last November, on a Friday night. The agents at MCO National/Alamo are really good at working with you - just let them know what you need. I ended up being upgraded from Economy to a BMW X3.

Maybe I'm lucky or unlucky, don't know, but the last 4 times I've rented from Alamo at MCO the level that I booked was sold out. They just upgrade you for free. No hassle at all. Last time, in Dec, I got bumped up 3 levels.

I arrive into MCO at all different times from 10am to 10pm so I don't think that has much weight on the car stock.
