So, next Friday we are at the MK. It will be our 2nd day there (going on Tuesday too). It is our last day of 5 days at the park - we leave on Saturday - early afternoon.
Wishes is at 8PM, but I am thinking of skipping it since we will have (hopefully) saw it on Tuesday.
I am thinking 8PM is kinda early for a Friday night and esp. on our last night there.
Should we hop a bus to go to DD? DS(7) loves legos and we won't have an opportunity to go unless it's Friday night or possibly early Sat AM. Not sure what time they open on Sat AM or what time the ME will pick us up for our 3pm flight?!
Should we hop a boat and head to campground or another MK resort to look around / catch a show/ grab a late dinner (without breaking the bank).
This is our "budget" trip - we broke the bank with our 1 bedroom villa rental so scrimping on the other stuff!
Of course, we may all be too tired and just want to go back to the resort early too? The AKL may have some fun things to do at night at the resort or a night swim if it is warm enough?

DME will pick you up about 12:00 for a 3:00 flight, which in my opinion isn't enough time to go to DTD. I would go on Friday night, but you can't hop on a bus at MK to get to DTD; you would have to go to the Contemporary (take the monorail or walk) and catch a bus there.

Have you planned a visit to the Boardwalk? We loved it and you can grab a drink or ice cream, watch some performers... Just wander. It may not fill a lot of time but it is nice & free.

Great idea to go to Contemporary and hop bus to DTD from there - I was thinking of taking the ferry (or monorail) over to TTC to get a bus; which didn't sound appealing to me.

We stayed at BWV two years ago -so we kinda had our fill of the Boardwalk - wanted to check out other areas this trip. But, I agree - a very cool place at night to visit.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the pool at Kidani (which appears to be where you are staying?). Even saw some animals while there. If the weather permits a Friday night swim, that has proven for us to be a fun last night attempt to enjoy the resort. If MK is closing at 8:00, then you won't feel like you're really missing out on anything. Call Flippers for pizza delivery and enjoy some pool time. Our kids still love the parks, of course, but have come to appreciate a little down time at the resort, too....same for me.

We also tend to do our Downtown Disney visiting on our last morning before heading out. If you get there right when everything starts opening, it's not busy at all and you really could knock out some last-minute shopping in an hour or so -- Legos, World of Disney, Marketplace Co-op, etc. Pretty sure the stores start opening at 10:00, although Earl of Sandwich opens at 9:00 if you want to catch breakfast, too. We did that once last year and I learned that the entire EoS menu is available for breakfast (and not just the official breakfast items). Had the holiday turkey sandwich for breakfast that morning! With that said, I don't know if the buses would be available to go over early, but the front desk or concierge desk at Kidani should be able to answer that pretty quickly.

There are no buses from TTC to DTD. In fact, now that buses coming from DHS and AK can pull up to the gate just like the resort buses do, I would assume that the only buses that use the TTC anymore are the ones from offsite hotels.
