Anyone for Dirty Dancing????

And for the Quilt of the week:"Dancin At The Ritz" by Rita Denenberg

Not being a large quilt, it was executed in a week and a half for competition at an Art Center in Palm Beach FL. It is machine appliquéd with a satin stitch and machine quilted with fabrics of cotton, satin and lame. It took Best of Show.

On a personal note, I will not be around much next week because my son will be home from college. I haven't seen him since Christmas break and I can't wait!! Will DIS a little at work but I'll see you all in about a weeks time.

...sigh...

i loved that movie when i was younger...i had a poster of patrick swayze in overalls all sweaty laying in hay...i hung it on my ceiling...it was the last thing i saw before i turned out the lights at night and the first thing i saw when i woke up in the morning...

...sigh...

that scene where he's teaching her to dance and he's shirtless and they show his back all twisty and stuff...gets me every time...
