Friday at BB or TL - good day to go?

We are going to be in WDW on August 21st and were thinking of going to BB or WL on Friday the 22nd. I know Floriday schools will be back in session. Would Friday be a good day to go to a water park?

By then things should have slowed down a bit. We wanted to go to a water park Friday, July 25 and they were closed to those driving in by about 11 AM. The sign said the parking lots would reopen at 2. We went to downtown disney for a while, and BB had cleared out some by 3 PM. Of course we were all chased out by thunder and lightning at 5:30! I had thought Friday would be a good day to go, but I guess the afternoon can be crowded any time you go. My advice would be to go early AM or later PM.

Thanks georgina. We were thinking of going at opening then going to MK later with E-ticket that night. The other choice would be to go to MGM on Friday morning. Does anyone have any experience with MGM on Fridays?

We spent last Fri, Aug 1st at TL and it was great. A little crowded but not so much so that you couldn't do things. The kiddie area was fine, lazy river got crowed in the afternoon, but we were still able to get a floatie.

We arrived at 9:15 and stayed until 5:00. The boys had a blast. Of course I was camped out at the kiddie section chasing the girls, 4yo and 1yo. My baby favorite thing was the stairs. Not to relaxing for mommy.LOL

Spending the day at the water park truly made our vacation feel like a vacation - we felt like we spent the day at a tropical paradise resort! ... not always on the go at the theme parks.

momxx5 - I know what you mean. We live in NJ and it gets hot in the summer and we have beaches but you are not in Florida with the palm trees, bright sun and big skies. It is just different and you know you are on vacation. That said, still looking for opinions as to whether we should do a water park or MGM on 8/22. Your opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Oh my what a choice!...because MGM is my favorite place. I guess you have to figure out what you want to do the most. I would have a hard time being at WDW and not going to MGM, but after spending the day at TL, I know that we will always include one waterpark day.

You could try water park in the morning and then head to MGM in the afternoon. I believe MGM is open until 9:00.
