..................are you superstitious???

Do you touch wood? walk under ladders? cross you fingers?

I am not normally superstitious, esp. not about Friday 13th. However, I have lost my gold necklace that DH bought me for our wedding so I am blaming it on Friday 13th :guilty:

You're reading my mind Kaylee, we've been talking about superstitions today in work, although I wouldn't walk under a ladder (for fear of something dropping on me) I wouldn't be bothered about the rest of it.
This unlucky day has turned out well for all my clients - one had a free upgrade on virgin, one had a free upgraded cabin on P&O, I saved one lady £100 off the train ticket she usually buys, Another lady won a complimentary cruise, someone else had their flights rearranged but they worked out much more convenient and don't now involve her travelling overnight and one gent got a huge refund that we weren't expecting!

Not superstitious in the slightest. In fact, I can't remember anything bad ever happening to me on a Friday 13th..!

A lady at my work never ever works Friday 13th.
She has already booked the one in October off.
I think she is mad as more accidents happen at home.

I have worked here for 7 years and she has not worked one yet!! Crazy lady!! :crazy2:

Excellent day for them Carol :)

I do "touch wood" but more through habit than anything. Friday 13th doesn't bother me at all.

Friday the 13th doesn’t bother me but:

I do touch wood
Won’t walk under a ladder
If salt is spilt I have to through a pinch over my shoulder
Never put an umbrella up indoors
Never put new shoes on a table, and
Never, ever, ever cut nails on a Sunday

However, I’m not superstitious - just bonkers :rotfl2:

:rotfl: until i saw the title of the post i didnt even know it WAS friday 13th :guilty:
i hope i win the euromillions tonight and make it my lucky day :rotfl2:

I have stayed in all day :rotfl: As I have broke my hand and foot on two seperate occasions on friday the 13th also fell over on another friday 13th and got blood and fluid under the knee cap. All these accidents happened while I was at school which was a couple of years ago :) ........ok it was quite a few years ago :rotfl: But even now I dont like going out on Friday the 13th.

Well I have never thought about it before, but after the day Ive had today Im starting to change my mind.

No not at all. We have flown to Orlando on Friday 13th before! However we were unlucky that day as a lady on the plane freaked out cos it was Friday 13th and insisted on getting off the plane. We were delayed so i guess it was unlucky! :rotfl:

It has been a horrible day really. My lovely aunt died this morning and we are all devastated. It should have been a celebratory day as my dd is 16. :sad1:

It's never bothered me, but then as I was born on a 13th (a Wednesday as it happens) it would mean that if I was superstitious, one in seven of my birthdays wouldn't get celebrated and I can't have that!!!

Is this too wierd - I can't take the salt pot out of anyones hand... they have to put it down and then I can use it, and if I am passing it to them, they I have to put it down for them too!!!
