According to the Disney website, the scheduled time for Fantasmic on 12/12 is 6 pm, rather than 7 pm.. Does anyone know the reason why?

I believe it is because this is the night of the Pop Warner Super Bowl Celebration Party at MGM Studios and the park may be closing a little early.

It is an affair with a separate admission fee. It is included in the hotel/park hopper package that all Pop Warner participants must purchase in order to compete. Therefore, it is really swampped with Football players, Cheerleaders, family, etc. letting off steam in one last hurrah before heading home.

Saying this, it should be a great night at the other parks as far as low attendance!

Yes, the Super Bowl party is that night for Pop Warner participants. It is crazy there. We will be there, as my daughter is competing in the Nationals for cheerleading but will avoid the party at MGM and hopefully will be going to MK for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas. Pinkbounc

This is the day I have planned for MGM!

Is it crowded all day or only during the party for them!

I hope they stay away during the day and only come at night for the party, is this true?

Please let me know, so I can change my plans if it's going to be really crowded.

I wouldn't change your plans. The cheerleading competition is still going on at Wide World of Sports during the day that Friday. Maybe even the championship rounds for football too, but I am not sure. You should not see an unusually large amount of people from the pop warner groups there that day.

Since, the super bowl party is a separate admission, the park would have to be cleared out first before the party so no one would be hanging around from the day.

They clear out the park and then let the kids in at another entrance. You have a special ticket(I think it is $50. and included in their packet)and the kids eat free and ride the attractions until I think 11pm. Last year they had a DJ for the kids.
It is really packed with kids at this time.

I feel better now that I don't have to change my plans.

When I was planning I also noticed the parade & Fantasmic were an hour early, but I didn't question the reason why, but now I know!
