Frequent Flyer Miles Usage

Does anyone know of a way to use FF miles other than for an airline ticket. My husband has several FF accounts, but most of them do not add up to anything substantial. It would be nice if I could use the miles, for example, for restaurant GC's, or Disney dollars, etc.

Any ideas?

If you have 5,000 miles on a particular airline, you can convert them to Hilton HHonors points which can be used for hotel stays.

there is also a websight that you can use your FTP miles to buy things. I can't remember right now if its skymiles that I'm referring to....of course I am drawing a blank right now......I will go thru my FTP stuff and then post the exact name of the program.

I work in the FF dept of American and you can combine your miles with these two airlines to get a ticket. But the agreement is to end in August of 2001. Apparently because USAirways will be merging with United around that time.

Also American has an agreement with AOL. I think it is called AOLAadvantage.com or something very similar to that. You can use your miles to buy products from many venders that way.

Also you can use your American miles for magazine subscriptions. Call American at 1-800-882-8880 and ask for the number for the company that you can get the magazine subscriptions through.
