That POFQ is very inaccurate. It shows a very condensed and much smaller version of the hotel. Why would I lie about how long my walk was? It took fifteen minutes in dark, creepy grounds at nighttime.

We were in building seven. The left part. Very unpleasant.

I'd hate to stay in Pop.

we were in bldg #6 facing Cafe Au Lait Way and Beignet Sq-- it took us no longer than 3 minutes to get to the food court--

creepy grounds-- are you SURE you were not at PO RIVERSIDE! MAYBE Alligator Bayou!???

How fast do you walk? It took us 15 minutes...at the Yacht Club we could walk to Epcot in about 7!

Ok, I am planning on staying on POFQ May 2-6, and I won't let this one negative review stop me, no sir- this is my first time staying here!!

I know that POFQ is relatively compact, but could anyone put that into perspective for me? The layout kind of reminds me of the GF with the various buildings and centralized pool. Could anyone compare these two in terms of size, since I have stayed at the GF numerous times? (I haev only stayed at the BWI otherwise, and I don't think that would be a great comparison of sizes)

Here's a link to Live.local it shows 7 the 4 then the food court.Even at the far end of 7 I could crawl to the food court in that time.

It seems you just didn't like the resort and thats fine thats whats so great about Disney something for everyone

for my next moderate I will stay at POFQ, too. I loved POR, so I hope it is at least as good. I hear many good things about it and saw for myself that it looks nice.

Let me tell ya- I was drinking those Southern Hurricane drinks at the pool bar-if I would have had JUST ONE MORE I could have actually TOLD you how long it took me to crawl ..........well, to BLDG# 6 anyway!!!!

You should have booked CSR or CBR...I wouldn't trust POFQ again.

Sorry, aside from your postings I have just heard too many wonderful things about this resort to change

Certainly to each their own (which is one of the best things about WDW), but I am going to stick with POFQ.

Also, CSR and CBR as so spread out, having walked around them, I just think this will work better for us.

I know how it is . I switched our DD's quick B-day trip from POP to POFQ earlier in the month it's going to be a hard 30 some days but down to 23 now. Already have our new ME tags and hid them.

It's been hard not to tell her or DW and I will try to keep it from them until we hit the resort or at least the ME bus.

I LOVE the POFQ. I'm sure you'll have awonderful time....
I misread your post the first time and thought you were going down at Christmas time...now I'm having fantasies of POFQ at Christmas. Damn! that's why DH doesn't want me hanging out here...I'll probably be making reservations before the day is out.

We were just at this resort in August. Gotta tell ya, we loved it!! And we're from the New Orleans area!! As I've said before, it was so authentic feeling, the only thing missing is the blue tarps!

We were in bldg 4 and it was lovely. We had a view of the courtyard between the bldg and the food court. I have problems sometimes with my knees and walking, but even I could have made it from bldg 7. I loove the fact that the resort is so compact. We walked to the food court all the times. The 2 times I stayed at CBR, we drove to the main pool and the food court. POFQ is the best of the moderates in my opinion.

After reading this post I have but one word.... WOW.

Anyways... We stayed at POFQ for our Honeymoon and stayed in buidling #7. We went to the food court every morning and evening when we returned from the parks and had NO ISSUES what so ever with the walk! It was a beautiful, romantic place to be. We enjoyed our honeymoon there and plan to go back in the future (after seeing some new resorts just for the sake of staying all over Disney). The boat ride was a major plus as well! Viva la POFQ!
