French Quarter

I hate to ruin your happiness, but POFQ wasn't too good, and we only stayed one night. The room was small, pretty dirty, and the walk to the food court was too far. We had to drive.

Oh well, I am sure you'll just be happy to go to WDW.

Did you go to the food court at POR by accident?? POFQ is THE most compact resort that I think Disney owns! :rotfl:

If POFQ is the most compact...what is the largest? It took us about 15 minutes to walk to the food court. When we switched resorts, it took us about 1 minute.

After reading some of these posts lately, I have to say that I am a little nervous for our upcoming trip to POFQ in May. We have visited the resort and fell in love with it. :yay: I thought that the resort was very compact and the grounds beautiful. We have been to Disney 8 times in the last 7 yrs. and have never encountered a problem. Which leads me to ask-are there some extremely hard to please people out there who expect perfection when traveling or it is that my DH & I are not picky enough? :confused3 Still, I will keep reading on but will definately keep and open mind and have positive thoughts. Maybe it is all in what you make it! :scratchin

Actually it is only (one) post that is negative and the rest are not.

Please dont change your mind-- I have no idea how it could possibly take 15 minutes to walk to the POFQ food court--

The resort is beautiful!

and to DisneyWorldWisher where did you end up staying? :confused3

We switched to the Yacht Club...we had to bite the bullet and pay up cause it was the only thing open. We wanted to go to Coronado but it was booked. Everything was booked except for the Yacht Club. (Which ended up being expensive, but very good)

I honestly didn't think the grounds and ambience were too nice at POFQ either.

Now I read that the CSR is huge and the walk eveywhere is far- they even have shuttles.....to the main bldg!

Oh- well, to each his own.

It's not as big as everyone makes it out to be. The shuttles are a perk. They started as a convention service.

Buzz! Anytime the CSR is mentioned you are there! :wave2:

Its like you have CSR radar or something! :rotfl2: YOU LOOOOVE THIS RESORT DONT YOU!

I am curious if you get a comission everytime you make a post! :rotfl:

I do have a question for you--- does the CSR share a bus with another resort-- and how many bus stops are there @ CSR ???? :confused3

Next time I go to Disney I would like to try and find a resort that has its own bus-- and no extra stops.....I am actually thinking about moving down to a value and do POP just for this reason! :guilty:

I do have a question for you--- does the CSR share a bus with another resort-- and how many bus stops are there @ CSR ???? Absolutely not, they do not share. There are 4 stops, one in each village and one at the main building.

ps - no comission... ;)

Thanks! :yay:

PS- I am calling Disney right now to tell them to cut you check, you deserve it! :rotfl:

Honestly, we had never stayed at CSR, but we were willing to try it.

Seriously though, if POFQ is the smallest resort, (Though it seems that Yacht Club or Beach Club are smaller) what is the BIGGEST resort? :confused3

CBR is a large resort - 2,112 room and surrounds a 45 acre lake.

Can somebody answer my question? :guilty:

I googled your question and came up with this:

Top 20 largest hotels in the US:

#17. Disney's Pop Century Resort
Walt Disney United States, Florida

Disney's newest value resort plays around with pop culture icons from every decade of the 20th century. At 2,880 rooms, it is the largest resort at Disney United States.

and it's only half done. Once fully completed with both Classic Years and Legendary Years, the resort will have 5,760 rooms, 20 (4 story) buildings, 6 pools and 8 courtyards.

GET OUT! I did not know that--- well there goes my hopes of not having several bus stops at one resort in the future! :rotfl:

Great it will be like another AllStar resort! Just when you think you have a Disney plan- they have to throw a wrench into things! :guilty:

That was the initial plan, lets see if Disney completes it. I also read that POP may end up with some of the suites (like at All Stars) so that could mean fewer rooms.
