Does anyone know a good source for French language children's books? I have a friend who is French Canadian and is teaching her child to be bilingual. I'd like to get him some books and would like to try to find some good ones in French. Amazon has Spanish, but not French.

Especially interested in Robert McCloskey - but would be interested in any books for a child that age.

Thanks!!

good luck!!

You might try talking with your library if you don't find what you are looking for. They have lots of book buying sites they can look stuff up on and usually are very willing to help out.

I don't know if you have looked, but I buy my french children books from Barnes and noble-I am studying to become a french teacher and have bought some books for my upcoming classroom.

scholastic.ca is a great site, but you have to call in the order, you can't do it on line in the US. I would think that B&N or Borders could order whatever you find there, if you want.

try asiaforkids.com they seem to have books in about 15 different languages. check out this link

just go to the site and type french in the search engine. It has stuff from little babies up to grown ups. Nice prices too. i ahve gotten english/vietnamese books from them and they have some really cool stuff.

we order our dd's french books from amazon.fr.
