freezer packs..

I was wondering if we took one or two of those blue freezer things with us do you think that the cabin steward would freeze it overnight for us to use on excursions? I know that the cooling box isn't enough. Thanks- Tracey

I know that they will be more then happpy to give you ice, don't know about freezing your freezer pack overnight though.

how about bringing ziplock bags & fill them w/ice? i know, not as "convenient" as those blue freezer bag things...(won't lay flat, will melt into water, etc.) but you can always toss out the ziplock bag after the food is taken out/eaten!

we brought a collapsable insulated lunchbag thing. was the size of a regular adult lunch box. (enough room for 2 people's worth of food, i'd say) and just filled that up w/sandwiches, snacks, etc. worked out well for us!
