I see there is a mini fridge in a Poly dvc studio but no freezer... I would like to bring frozen milk for baby because she has a dairy/ soy allergy and I'd like to be able to take a break from the restricted diet while at Disney and feed her frozen milk instead. It's only good for 24 hours once thawed... anyone have any tips? Do I need to bring a mini freezer for this to work? We're local (1.5 hour away) and driving.

I think it might be the only way. There's a rumor that poly studios are slowly having their refrigerators replaced with beverage coolers, which have no freezer and won't keep milk cold enough for safe storage. Since Disney doesn't provide freezers for the rooms (and I doubt that you will want to leave your supply with bell services and retrieve bottles as needed), I think you're justified in bringing your own. You have a medical need.

My experience has been that Disney is VERY breastfeeding supportive. You could always ask, if they cannot provide you with one they may have somewhere to store it for you.

If something isn't already in the room, the only way you are sure to get what you need is bring it yourself. I've traveled with mini-fridge to make sure I had one when Disney had a fridge issue. Even if they keep a few for medical issues - there is zero guarantee you would be able to get one. Since you are "local" just bring your own to be safe.

just be sure where you would plug in one you bring that it will not blow circuit esp if you are out of room. not that it helps now but check out the cabins at Fort Wilderness. they use to have full size frig with full size freezer on top

Thanks! We would have done a one bedroom villa if I had known I would be in this situation when we booked but too late now! I’ll bring one.

just be sure that room can handle both the room fridge and your freezer without blowing breaker which could happen when you are out of room and you will not know until too late to save milk
