This park opened last year as Hard Rock Park,I've seen many photo trip reports on it and aside from needing more trees the park did look nice, the problem was that it had a very high admission price, did not have enough major attractions to warrant that price and it was located in Myrtle Beach, which even though is a tourist area just did not draw nowhere near what they thought would draw. The park was supposed to open year round and even in the middle of summer there were days with probably 100 cars in the parking lot,or less. When the park filed bankruptcy and closed as Hard Rock Park I was worried it would become a shopping mall as I thought it really looked like it had potential.Luckily a group bought it for $25 million and did a pretty good job of reopening it.I know they've been getting somewhat better attendance this year with a little lower ticket prices and deals like 2 admissions for $17.76 which I think they did for July 4th and totally packed the park, and have continued that promotion until July 26.many people are still worried if the park will survive past this year, but at least I think the buyers did get the park at a deal so they're not completely strapped. The one thing everyone says is that if it was located somewhere else it would be doing much better.I think the park is worth doing,I know if I could get up there soon I would.
