Freedom to Marry Day Protest Planned

I just wanted to post one more time before the thread gets closed from getting too serious.:charac2:

OK, so then what you are saying it that i am not a jerk..correct? Just to clarify.

I think people who would use the force of law through mob rule to force their religious beliefs down other people's throats are jerks. It's up to YOU decide if you fall into that catagory or not, but I am not specifically calling any one person a jerk, just a general group of narrow minded dolts.

If you are against the gay lifestyle, then don't live the gay lifestyle. If you believe it's a choice, then you can choose not to live it, right?

What I always find interesting is how the old testament is nearly ignored by a lot of Christians until the issue of homosexuality comes up.

Not at all! I posted about that several pages back.

Christians celebrate the Sabbath on Sunday because that's the day our Lord rose from the grave.

Actually He didn't Rise from the Dead on a Sunday. It was a Saturday. And He wasn't crucified on a Friday, but that's a different thread for a different day. ;)

Well, it used to be Saturday, but that interfered with god's weekly bowling league so he whispered in Paul's ear and got it changed to Sunday instead.

One of the perks of being the almighty. ;)

I'm not 100% sure you are taking this seriously.

Oh, no. Let's not start down that path. The next thing will be that the shepherds are in one Gospel and the Kings are in another Gospel and everyone will be all upset over the Nativity set!!

I'm just pointing out that some of the things that some Christians see as absolutes, are not. The day and date of Easter was set by man, not by the Word of God.

Right, and they were set in such a way to make it easier for the Pagans to accept the new religion that was being forced down their throats by the government.

Remember, there were just as many red-nosed reindeer at the manger as there were wise men. I miss living in New Jersey and some of the fun Christmas displays people had.

Personally, I have no problem with Christ being crucified on Friday, spending three nights in the tomb, and then rising on Sunday. We just have to assume there was an extra day that week.
